I've toyed with writing a server plugin to allow admins to control various options. Right now setting a world's difficulty to hardcore will disable the radar and cave maps. If you'd like to be a guinea pig, I'll work with you on a server plugin. Open a feature request here: http://tinyurl.com/jmticket

Hi, is there a way as the Administrator to disable certain features for our players? For instance, on my server I wish to only allow just the map, along with the location of the player.

I didn't see any information on permissions nodes either here or MinecraftForums.net, so do you have any plans on incorporating that?

I'm asking specifically on Bukkit because this question pertains to Bukkit permissions.

Can you add the ability to really zoom out your map. I'm talking like 4k to 6k blocks across the map view-able.
