- download and use 7zip (free) ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/ )
- click start menu and type run
- type in %appdata% open .minecraft then open bin
- drag the minecraft.jar file to 7zip to open it up
- drag everything from this zip-folder into 7zip window and click yes
- close everything and launch Minecraft
- have fun with your new tool kit :)
the recipes for obsidian tools are the same as every other tool
