I just created a mod and then uploaded to the site recently, but my mod does not show up when I searched for it. How can people download my mod if they don't even know it exist?

You would need to update your mod and upload it, there should be 3 options Alpha, Bata, and release, place a check on Bata. The reason why you need to update your mod is because they will reject it if you re upload the same file.

@Castiel_22, Follow those steps that i described and what XSpeedRate is showing in the Image. Once you that it will show.
Same here! I just added a second file to my project, both are Releases, both have been approved. It has been many many weeks since I posted the first file, and I just posted the second. My project still will not show up under the search. It's called "Coordinate Mod", but anything even related to that name yields a "no results were found", which bugs me a lot.
To see your mods in search you'll need to set your mod update to beta, Im not completely sure what release means, but you need to set it to beta, follow the steps above this topic.
Hello! I'm trying to create a modpack for me and my friends, And when I search a mod named "Patty's more stuff" it doesn't show up... I searched the mod on the curseforge web and it showed up. it's on the 1.16.3 version and I tried to write it in any possible way on the search bar (with spaces, without spaces, with caps without caps, etc) how can I find that mod?

What mod did you create?
Did you publish the mod as a "Release" Version?

It's called "Scp Containment Protocol" What do you mean by "Release" Version?
When you upload a file there is a section called "Release Type" with 3 choices "Alpha, Beta and Release".
The difference between the 3 are:
1. Alpha Release- Files marked this are not synced across the network and are only available to the Creator of the Project.
a.Files mark with this type generally fall into several categories, "Bugged Version, Early Stages of Dev and/or a combo of the 2"
2. Beta Release- Files marked this are synced across the network and are visible to everyone.
a. Files marked with this type can fall into the some of the same categories listed in 1a but, are further along in there Development.
3. Release- Files marked this are synced across the network and are visible to everyone.
a. Files marked with this type are generally at the end of Development and have very few if, any bugs and work 99.9% of the time with no problem.
I hope this helps explain what i said about "Release" Version.
Also, i did search for the Mod and it does not show. So, only thing i can think of is that it was either 1 of 2 things,
1. Rejected by Staff for some reason or another
2. Files was Mark "Alpha Version" and is only visible to the Creator of the the File while looking at there Project List.

Hey thanks that helped me a lot. It's now showing up on the website now. Thank you so much!
I'm having the same problem. Changing to bèta isn't working either. How did you fix it exactly?

How do I see mods that are not set as Released? I'm seeing them listed as updated, but don't see that newest version, only the last Released version?
