Hi there,

 

I'm using a Mac and when I try to use the twitch app to download a modpack, it says "could not load plugins" in the Mods tab. I've tried reinstalling java, the twitch app and restarted my computer multiple times but it still says the same thing.

 

No-one else seems to have had this issue so I can't even see what needs fixing.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

I'm having the same issue, restarting twitch app, reinstalling, etc nothing seems to work. I thought I had a problem with java, but I don't think it's Java that's interrupting with the functionality.
"could not load plugins."

Started an account just to respond... having the same issue.

I guessed it was something to do with permissions, so added Twitch to the Security/Privacy system preference but still nothing.

Thanks for replying. Hopefully this gets some attention now that I'm not the only one with this issue. I've looked at the launcher and I get the following: It seems to be a problem with the Twitch Agent? I'm also getting the "cannot send to unconfigured service" message. I don't know anything about coding so hoping this gets fixed.

I have absolutely the same error with the same logs as posted above

 

Tried to run the app in SUDO mode (launcher and twitch itself), both still failed

Hi everyone! So someone replied to me on reddit with a fix! I don't know how permanent it is but it worked for me!

Simply open your terminal (for Mac users press Cmd+Space and type "terminal") then paste the following code:

 

chmod +x /Applications/Twitch.app/Contents/MacOS/TwitchAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/TwitchAgent

 

Then relaunch your Twitch and the Mods tab should show up (I had to refresh once for it to work).

Hope this works for you too!

Hello, I understand that for mac applications is used

chmod +x /Applications/Twitch.app/Contents/MacOS/TwitchAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/TwitchAgent
But for windows what is the command?

For some odd reason I still can't get my Mods tab to show up. It still says 'Could not load plugins.'

 I have been looking for a solution as well for windows and found something that works for me. So this might work for you when you reinstall twitch change where it is located example "C:\Users\User\Twitch\Minecraft "  to "C:\Users\User\Desktop\TWITCH" it doesn't matter where you change it to. Hope this works for you.

I just started seeing this problem today and attempted this fix, but Twitch will *not* let me move it's minecraft folder from where it is at all. Any other fixes, or a way to make it move it's folders?

 what is it supposed to say after put the command in the terminal, and is the twitch app supposed to be open when doing this?

I'm having the same problem but on windows anyone have a solution?
