The Linux version of CF is in the works, from what I understand should be out sometime this year. I don't have exact dates yet, but as I learn more I can add to it here. Otherwise if you are a part of the CF official discord, news and info is posted there in the cf-news channel.
ATLauncher works pretty well for me, while it requires a little more work to get a mod pack installed, it's far easier than trying to get an application not native to linux working.
Currently there is an Alpha version of the Linux client out for WOW, minecraft is still in the works. However until then the ATLauncher currently works for Linux.
Yea shouldn't have to install windows just to download a modpack for a java app that works natively on Linux. The API changes are pretty terrible and abusive.
There is now a Linux version of the app, HOWEVER, it is currently only for the game World of Warcraft (WoW), Other games like Minecraft or Sims are still in the works. There is no way to "force" the app to install them.
Q: When will MC come? A: There is no eta, sorry
Q: I Downloaded the Linux app, but only have 1 game why? A: The Linux app only supports WoW atm. (World of Warcraft)
Q: How can I play minecraft modded on Linux?
A: There are other apps that support CF packs on Linux, they are GDLauncher, ATLauncher, and the FTB app.
Note: these are 3rd party apps, so some packs / mods may not work depending on how the authors set their projects

Hey there !

Thank you !
Hey!
There is no official release of CurseForge for Linux.
For more information and options, have a look here: https://curseforge-ideas.overwolf.com/ideas/CF-I-42
An administrator wrote that there is currently no Linux support planned, but that it might come.
But have you tried to use this instruction?

I myself am thinking about a Linux server, but I have not configured it yet

Soooo....
Any plans to bring out a Linux Version now, now that the recent API and ToS Changes basically crippled all Third Party Launchers?
PolyMC had a workaround for the Issues but they were basically Cease and Desisted by Curseforge.

I wonder why the only game available is a Windows one, when Minecraft has native support.

Mi serve un aiuto. Ho installato curseforge ma non "vede" Minecraft, sembra che il gioco non ci sia e quindi non posso scaricare e usare mod. Idee?
