My CurseForge App absolutely will not install any new profiles for minecraft, nor will it install any mods, get an error every single time that the system cannot find the file specified.
Steps I've taken
Removed all command line arguments in the Java launcher, didn't work.
Re-installed Java (jre-8u51-windows-x64), didn't work
Fresh new install of Curseforge and Minecraft (deleted everything to start again), re-installed minecraft and ran it at least once, didn't work.
Downloaded the Forge setup and manually installed (forge-1.16.4-35.1.0-installer) manually, didn't work.
Delete Twitch App and all directories, didn't work.
Checked no customised System Environment Variables are being used, didn't work.
Tested making a 'mods' folder within .minecraft folder - and ran minecraft from there, yet again CurseForge/Overwolf would gave the same error..
I've noticed that when I try to make a profile, it tries to make a new folder with the forge (see filepath screenshot) but seems to fail somehow.
At this stage I'm at an absolute loss, I've been at this for over an hour and can't find any solutions using this new CurseForge software.
I gave up and downloaded MultiMC - and just manually downloaded the pack from curseforge site and imported the download there. Worked seamlessly.
To download the mods: where you’d normally click install from the curseforge site, just copy it’s URL and change the y at the end to a n and happy downloading.
Basically, the CurseForge App cannot install the required Forge version, which is why we get the error "The system cannot find the file specified".
To resolve the issue manually, I had to find the forge version required for the modpack I wanted, As of 12/16/2020, ATM6 is using Forge Version 35.1.13. After manually installing Forge version 35.1.13, I was able to download the modpack via the CurseForge App and launch/play.
Once you find the Forge version you need for the modpack, download the Installer from the official Forge site. Once downloaded, install the Client into the 'Install' folder of CurseForge instances (Mine was C:\Users\[YOUR COMPUTER NAME HERE]\Twitch\Minecraft\Install).
You can also find this by opening the three dots of a previously installed modpack, clicking 'Open Folder', then clicking 'Minecraft' in the directory up top, and opening the 'Install' folder. Click the white space next to the text in the directory and CTRL+C the text with the slashes, open the Forge Version you need, and CTRL+V and open.
Once installed, simply click 'install' on the modpack you want. For ATM6, I recommend at least 8 gigs allocated in order to run smoothly.
Hope this helps, I'll try to check for replies to help later on <3
Unfortunately that didn't seem to help D: No idea what the issue is, and what's worse is that I can't even make my own profile to at least play the packs I want.

Was running into this error while trying to install All The Mods 6 using the CurseForge App.
I found that the problem is listed as a known issue - https://support.overwolf.com/en/support/solutions/articles/9000196615-known-issues

Where did you install Forge to? I don't see any kind of root Forge directory in the Curseforge client.
