Hello, I've been reading through this thread and I have tried both the hard reset and also the one that you have just mentioned. I have also attempted to download the latest version of java, reinstall both Minecraft and curse forge/overwolf and I have gotten nowhere. I was wondering if anyone was in the same boat as me and non of these fixes have helped? Any advice would be extremely appreciated because I believe that I have exhausted my knowledge and I am starting to feel very hopeless. Thank you in advance if you leave any feedback.
Yeah, I'm having the same exact issues. Curseforge itself takes forever to load any modpack. Even if I launch vanilla using the app, it takes way longer to load than just using the vanilla launcher. I've tried all the suggested fixes and nothing has helped. One other weird thing I found is when using the ATLauncher, Curseforge packs still won't load. Packs that are native to the ATLauncher and FTB packs load just fine though.
so, my friend has reached an issue. We've followed the advice of YOYOK9 and tried fixing it that way, we even restarted their computer, but nothing's working. CurseForge goes into most mods just fine, however it does not open other that we have been wanting to play. It will open the Minecraft Launcher, however after a few minutes will give a screen called "Fabric Launcher" with the saying "Failed to launch! Mod resolution took too long" on it. We don't know what's going on and are desperately looking for any answers that might help.
i tried doing both forceful and the built-in way and neither work. i downloaded my pack, launch to Minecraft launcher, press "play" then it says "finalizing" then goes back to saying "play", i don't know what to do now and i have gone through and deleted install and everything, i have had to deal with this like, 5 times now, but each time i forget how to fix it lol, any help is appreciated
So I think all of these features should be fixed by curseforge soon because people aren’t doing these random stuff people say that has a 50% of ruining/breaking your computer. They just need to update and reinstall the install folder then it’s good to go. Why haven’t they done this, my game does not load so why. I understand me trying to launch Minecraft badlion but not when your modpack has 80+ mods
Something for those having the issue where you hit play on the app and it loads / nothing happens at all try this: (from the Curseforge discord) Windows: Make sure all minecraft instances are closed, open task manager and end any minecrafts open. Mac: Use spotlight to launch Activity Monitor - search for Minecraft - if you see any - double click them and Quit ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Click on the icon in the bottom left of Curseforge. 2. Click the Minecraft Tab. 3. Click Change next to the Minecraft Modding Folder Option. 4. Select the folder named Install. 5. Delete it. 6. Restart CurseForge App. (close and open) 7. It will ask to install MC again, do so. 8. Play game.
NOTE: You will not lose any modpacks or worlds, These are saved in the Instances folder. DO NOT TOUCH THIS FOLDER OR YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING
Note2: If it doesn't seem to work the first time, on step #6 reboot your pc. Sometimes doesn't stick when you close the curse app and open it again.
If you have any other issues can try asking on the discord as well.

i tried most of these and they dont work, tho my problem is slightly different. the launcher will open and when i press the big green play button it preppares and then almost instantly finalizes then doesnt launch minecraft. this happens with all modpacks 1.12.2 and below, at least so far
edit: i forgot to mention whenever i try to launch it it will say something about the minecraft version twice before opening the launcher.
If your having issues with either playing a pack, downloading/installing a pack or creating your own custom profile:
If my message about Repair Installation button OR the manual way of deleting the install folder doesn't work, Please Join the CF discord. Will be easer looking at it in real time, vs the joys of forum slowness.... ie: logs and such.

Minecraft stuck on Mojang screen then crashes.
I've done all I can think of. I've increaded RAM. I've installed a separate instance of 1.12.2. Please help!

IT WORKED! THANKS A LOT! OMG!

I had this problem just now! The minecraft launcher would come up, process but once done finalising, it just stops.
My solution was this:
Boot up regular minecraft (try on the same update/installation as the modpack), then try booting up the modpack.
Not sure of the logic behind this besides how its how you install optifine on vanilla minecraft. Hope that helps!
Hope that helps!

Worked great, saved files all stayed too. Thanks!!
Nothing worked for me. I tried everything, It's still giving the "couldn't load launcher core" stuff.
