I have been trying to figure out if it is possible to play release candidates on curseforge or not. under options/minecraft there is a "preferred release" option with Release/beta/alpha" but maybe it means the launcher? I set it to alpha and i still cannot make a new modpack for 1.19.45-rc2 :(
