please can you help me i tried all the things you said but not working it comes up with this
Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for 3145728KB object heap Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: ignoring option PermSize=192m; support was removed in 8.0
I kept my launcher loading overnight and it is just saying "loading........" two hours later "loading....." and I tried toinstall it again and it is not giving the option play. It is loading WAAAAYYYY too long
Curseforge will not load at all from overwolf. Everytime I try to launch it, it goes to a black screen that says oops something went wrong. How can I fix this??
So i believe i have stumbled across the fix to this problem, which i've been having forever, while trying to fix a completely different problem. I'm not 100% sure this is the fix but this is the only thing i've majorly changed since.
The java path is not set. The fix is fairly simple. Find your java folder. Should be some thing like "C:\Program Files\Java\"
Locate to the bin folder "C:\Program Files\Java\(will be different depending on your version of java)\bin" Then copy this directory address.
go to the windows search and type "advanced system settings" then press enter.
Under the advanced tab click "Environment Variables."
Under "system variables" locate Path and Double Click it.
Press "New" and paste the address from before. Press OK twice. and you should be good to go. make sure to restart curseforge
Again im unsure if this is the fix. but please let me know!
Sorry, but no it didn't work I used to play RLcraft all the time but once twitch switched all the games over to Overwolf I haven't been able to play Minecraft in general through Curses launcher.
I'm going to be doing some experimentation so if I find out anything I'll post it here first.
i have been having similar issues and tried many things idk if something i did in my process made a difference like updating java or deleting apps that could affecting the client but in the end a simple uninstall and of the curseforge launcher seemed to do the trick

I am trying to start a modpack and the new launcher isn't letting me load the modpacks! please help!!
So this was happening to me, but i have fixed it.
You need to go in the curse client - click on settings and click on Minecraft.
Change Launch Method to JAR launcher
If you don't have Java you will need to install it - google it
Note - I had to use the offline installer for Java as the normal one kept erroring for me.
Still not work
Uninstall Java - restart machine - Reinstall java - launch minecraft jar launcher.
What do I do to uninstall java?
