So I tried to start my resourcepack up but it got rejected claiming file is not a valid resource or texturepack even though it's in a zipped folder and works on my computer.
Not sure why and no one is telling me why either.
It's kind of getting annoying trying to share, I was originally going to sell it but now i felt like giving away for free but with all these problems, I don't think I'll give anymore away for free unless people are willing to help me fix whatever I did to get it rejected.
Sorry, but if this hassle's keep happening, I'll make a new one and start selling them when the marketplace comes out instead.
I'd like to be nice and not sell them but with all these hassles I might just do that now. It took me some months to make it.
Well, you want to make money from your resourcepack? and then you ask for priceless help?
Not to be rude, but you should figure it out for yourself if it´s for commercial reasons.
BTW, That´ s my personal opinion: This is the best way to ruin Minecraft... think! If Oracle would charge you for using java? Forge would cost Money to download. This greedy behavior is a part of Microsoft business concept and it looks like a lot of people will fall for it. My2cent :-(

Did you even read. I was trying to post it for free not to make money but with all the bs I'm running into it's kinda making it hard, does that clarify.
Seriously, I'm being nice here.
I'll be posting it for free on my youtube anyway and show how bad the curseforge forums and minecraft forums are claiming something isn't valid when it is.
Try adding this to your resource pack, see if it will help. Just download it, open it in notepad, edit the name to be your name, and then dave it and copy it to your pack. Cant guarantee it will work, but it helped me when i uploaded my last resource pack awhile back

you were right, it was the pack holding me pack for some reason. So i want online to an online nbt editor, made a compound, saved it to computer, edited it in my nbt explorer and saved it. It loaded right up. It's a new format, I think they are working on improving it now as we can add nbt. sturctures files and stuff to our resourcepacks.
No problem. I wasn't sure it would work, but it sounded like an issue I ran Into awhile back, so I figured I'd suggest it. Glad I was able to at least send ya in the right direction. Cheers ^^

Apparently that is not it, I re-tried to upload it as new it got rejected as saying not valid resource/texturepack when it is. Is it because I made it 96x96 which would be lame. I made it that way on purpose.
It' would be really nice to know why they keep rejecting it so I can fix it, but nope no answer no nothing.
I suppose the 96x96 could be the problem. Minecraft by its very nature goes off of the 8x8, 16x6, 32x32, etc model. So they may rejecting it due to the fact that it is 96x96, and doesn't fit the standard for MC. I cant tell you for sure though. Only way to know would be to make that exact same texture pack and bump it up to either 128 or down to 64, and see if it still gets rejected

I guess I could if there was a sight that took multiple image scaling site and made them all 64*64 would be helpful.
Not sure why the standard is to skip even numbers from 64*64 to 128*128 when Minecraft can handle any multiple of 16.
Why I chose 96 by 96, so it will retain quality when scaling down to 48*48, any lower it gets horrible...
