It is a modpack tho, when I export the profile its a zip file, or a rar file if im using winrar
oh, I see. I'm guessing maybe you have a folder inside the modpack? I'd try making a folder name (your modpack) and moving mods into it. Than going into that folder and press crtl + a and right click the mod in there and do below
7zip: Add to (your modpack) .zip
Winrar: add to archive and click .zip and change name in program
than try uploading it. If you want it in a folder, you could try compressing into a .rar folder than I've seen on some mods, but I'm not positive. Any way if none of these work, I apologize.
I am exporting the file for the modpack from the twitch desktop app. The zip file has 3 things in it. Overrides, manifest.json, and modlist.html
Overrides contains all the configs and such. When i upload it the file is rejected and it says, Invalid file extension, expected jar, litemod. I have never uploaded a jar file before and have always been fine with a zipped file. AGH this is really frustrating...

basically the error has something to do with the extension file. maybe a mistake in the end or something. and it's expecting a .jar file, so I assumed it was to deal with it.
I recreated the project and it fixed it! Thank you for helping me though!
I guess I should have said recreate the project. Oh well and your welcome as this place can be very frustrating at times. I know they do it on purpose but at same time still very frustrating. Have fun.
er, I recreated my modpack like 20 times and it still hasn't gone through for me, with the same error message also... pls help D:
Not sure, you could pm me the modpack and I'd look at it. Don't worry i won't do anything fishy, i do resourcepacks more anyway. Or screenshot the inside of the modpack so i can see the file extensions.
Invalid file extension, expected jar, litemod. I keep getting this when I upload my zip file. WHat does it mean?
