I've had minecraft for awhile now and decided to install some mods and try it out, but after I made the folder and all that, once I put some mods in it and started the game they didn't show up in the mods tab or ingame anybody know why it would be doing this. (I'm using the right version for the mods and forge)
I installed twitch app and downloaded few modpacks at a friend because i dont have internet at home. now i am left with one problem. i cant launch them in offline mode. Twitch app say "requires internet".. @Kashdeya you say "the easiest way is twitch" then what is the difficult way? im willing to try the difficult way if i can avoid using twitch.
Sorry I'm such a noob but nothing on google search is being clear enough (or I haven't looked at enough sites lol) so how do I do the filing stuff I don't understand how to download mods and modpacks to my Minecraft world(s) (are mods and modpacks different in the way they are downloaded to Minecraft world(s)? If so, can someone let me know about the modpacks please?) I'm trying to download the Farming Harvest Modpack to be specific. Thanks!
Not sure where you received a "FTB Reloaded" file from following my instructions.
You do need Java installed to run the .jar file in Step 3; Run the java file and install it locally (client).
If you are referencing the mod downloads as the files you are unzipping, that is probably necessary depending on the mod you downloaded. If it is .zip, you will need to unzip/extract files to known location, then move those extracted files into your mods folder.
Before you jump headfirst into modding your game, there's a few things you'll need to do first. Mods are a ton of fun, but they do exert your computer more than just the base game would, and require a little bit of know-how to safely work with.
