absolutely new to curseforge, so forgive me my ignorance.
I am trying to install the following modpack https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/life-after-humans# and get a 1kb ccip file. What am I supposed to do with it? Normally installing mods is putting a .jar or .zip file into .minecraft/mods and its done.
That is not a mod it is a modpack. What you need to do is download the Twitch App located at https://app.twitch.tv/ once installed and synced with your minecraft, curse and twitch profiles you can download all the modpacks from curse inside the Twitch app by going to the Mods tabs and picking minecraft.
However if you already have the twitch app you can just double click on the file and open it with the twitch app and it should install the modpack for you. but TBO it is a lot easier to just use the Twitch app to get the modpack.

The reason I downloaded the CCIP file is because the Twitch app won't download it, timing out over and over again. Do you know if I could open it without using Twitch? Thanks.
Yeah, it wont work for me. Double clicked in explorer, as you'd usually do with anything else, and nothing happens. Ive got twitch and I'm on Windows 10 64 bit
Well here's the thing, i have the same problem but im downloading a lucky block addon, but it's a ccip file and when i press it it doesnt do anything Tell Dunkin
Make sure you completely installed the twitch app and then try running the ccip file.

Does this work on mac? I tried opening with twitch and it says it won't work

You can always download the latest twitch app for macOS. Make sure you completely installed the twitch app and then try running the ccip file.
