Not sure if I'm even putting this in the right place, but a bit of information that would be incredibly handy when searching for mods for Minecraft would be the Forge version each file works with. The current issue I've been having is that Sponge currently is rated up to Forge 2705, however both Forge, and of course the up to date mods out there have gone beyond that. So, when trying to make a pack that works with Sponge, I have to go into the file archives of each mod to choose an appropriately old version...and usually have to try each file two or three times before getting one that fits. Long story short, adding the Forge version along with the mc version, number of downloads and file creation date would be very handy.reverse image searchemail checkerport checker

I don't know if this is the right place either but, To try and answer your question.
For Mod Creators to add the information you suggested is a good idea but, this adds some more work for them.
SpongeForge is Currently available and rated for Forge 2838.
I looked it up to see what is the lastest version of SpongeForge.
Please goto the link i provided and update your SpongeForge Version and the mods you have should work and/or update them to the lastest version to work with SpongeForge (Forge 2838).
Hope this helps.
