Find treasure in Minecraft
Average time needed to find a treasure: 10 minutes.
Below, we take you through the different steps to easily find buried treasure in Minecraft.
Look for a shipwreck
The first step is to scour the ocean to find a ship wreck. You will usually find them in the Oceans, Rivers, or near beaches biomes.
Open the chests and get the treasure map
Usually a wreck can hold 2-3 chests and one of them will have a treasure map. Take the resources you need as well as the map.
Take control of the treasure map
Now that you have the map, you will have to hold it in your hand in order to see where the treasure you are looking for is located.
Go to the indicated location
As can be seen on the map, the treasure is marked with a red cross. Your position is the white point which is at the bottom left in our example. In our case, it will be necessary to head north to get to the location of the treasure.
Take a shovel and dig to find the chest
Now that you've found the exact location of the treasure, it's time to dig. Usually the chest is 2-3 blocks below but it can go up to 10 blocks. Make sure you dig around well too.
Collect your reward!
There you have it, you have just finished your treasure hunt quest! You just have to open the chest and collect your reward!
