With regard to a computer build I am planning primarily for running Minecraft with Optifine and the BSL shader pack, which I would like to have run with a maximum draw distance and a decent-looking FPS, I am curious about the potential single-core/multi-core usage of Optifine/BSL.
I am aware that vanilla Minecraft is primarily a single-core use program. What I would like to know is if this is different significantly, or at all, when one starts using Optifine and shader packs (I use BSL). Does anyone know the specific information about if Optifine and shaderpacks are multi core use more so than vanilla Minecraft?
While vanilla Minecraft is known to be primarily single-core, it is possible that using Optifine and a shader pack could potentially increase the program's multi-core usage. This is because Optifine and shader packs can add additional graphical features and effects to the game, which may require more processing power and potentially make use of multiple CPU cores. What's the mod that lets you right click all available crafts out? Like I put in a bunch of logs and want 64 planks I can just right click to get them instead of clicking 4 at a time out.
