I got a Pixel 3a to play around with and take to Europe with me in 2 months and have a couple of questions about unlocking it.
I see that there's an "Unlock" app and within the app there's a temporary unlock option that lasts for 30 days. Is there any limit to how frequently this can be used? My trip isn't until late July, but I was hoping to use this now to ensure that it works properly and then use it again prior to leaving to Europe.
If the temporary unlock doesn't work, I have no problem paying the phone off EIP and just having the credits from the Pixel trade-in promo apply to my bill for the next 2 years. However, I know that there's a 40 day use requirement before www.esndoctor.comT-Mobile will unlock the phone. Does this requirement start from the day the phone is first used on the network (so it would be eligible to be unlocked 40 days from this past Tuesday) or from the day the phone is paid off (so it would be eligible to be unlocked 40 days from today)?
