I have my mod JAR file uploaded for the MC1.8 release of my mod, and now I'm trying to upload a bugfix release for the MC1.7.10 branch and it's being rejected as a duplicate of the 1.8 version, which is strange since the versions have several notably different features and source code. I've tested both Link Removed: http://www.mediafire.com/download/kplup373af7af5x/betterbeginnings-MC1.7.10-b0.9.1.jar (1.7.10) and the downloaded 1.8 version from CurseForge in their corresponding MC environments, and both work with the correct featuresets. I then swapped the files, and both are ignored completely by Forge, not even crashing. Nonetheless, the files are indeed different, and treated differently by Minecraft. When I try to upload the bugfix version, CurseForge says the file size is 372 KB, the same size as the 1.8 version, when the file is actually 313 KB on my computer. Why does CurseForge think these files are the same?
