I am the owner of the Prismplex, a community-oriented Minecraft server that has a long history and a strong, active playerbase.
We have traditionally offered two different servers with different styles of gameplay on our server. The Azure SMP is our permanent, peaceful server with land claims, an economy, and rentable plots at the town at spawn. We also have a town hall and monthly mayor elections, a minigame district, and even teams/nations that occasionally go to war with one another. Our second server, the Crimson SMP, operates in “seasons.” This means that the server goes up for a period of about 3-4 months before there is a final event and the server is retired before a new season starts with a brand new map. The Crimson is much more PvP focused and has no land claims or official economy, and raiding/stealing from bases is allowed.
The Azure SMP is currently the sole online server on the Prismplex. I am currently working on getting a brand new successor to the Crimson SMP server up and active, aiming to release it sometime in December, which is why I am looking for a capable person to be Azure’s admin and main caretaker to give the amazing server the love and attention it deserves!
I am looking for someone who, ideally, has a good amount of experience moderating or managing in Minecraft servers, but more importantly, someone who can be passionate about the Azure SMP and making it a great server for our players.
As the admin, you will work under me but have a very large amount of freedom and discretion to run the server however you think is best. You will also not have to work alone, as you will have myself as well as the Prismplex’s team of moderators and helpers to help you run things and carry out your vision for the server. You can also pick members of the community who you think would be a good fit on the staff team to become moderators or helpers, if you’d like.
The main responsibilities of the Azure SMP admin are to:
Be the primary person directly responsible for the direction of the server
Keep the server safe, civil, and a welcoming place for newcomers
Work with Prismplex moderators and helpers to keep the server active, hosting events and competitions on the server
Host elections for the Azure Mayor when needed
Helping recruit new players to the server
