I'm really bad at finding resources, which is a problem if you play with mods like Galacticraft or Mekanism. So I need something that allows me to research blocks or items if I have a lot of them, then be able to duplicate them whenever I want, sort of like Terraria Journey Mode. I don't think a mod like this already exists, and I would appreciate it if someone could point me towards one.
While it doesn't really change vanilla research, the progression of Rimatomics might be something you'd enjoy. You have to spend silver on research projects, and completing each project often requires constructing whatever thing you're researching, followed by further research and experimentation with your new structure. Not only does it serve as a useful tutorial for Rimatomics snaptubevidmate as a whole, but it makes the entire process more engaging and interesting than just parking a colonist at a research table.

It's a bit OP, but that's pretty similar to ProjectE
