I feel mod authors should be required to specify in their uploads whether the mod is server side, client side, or both. I'm trying to set up a modded fabric server with my siblings, and on many mods (like the one I linked above) it doesn't say a thing about whether it's intended for client, server, or for both, and this could cause many issues when trying to set up a good stable modded server. This information not being provided by most mod authors is irresponsible on both their part and yours. Help us server owners out please and make this a thing!
I've seen this recently on the Cathedral stuff and I don't really understand why. If you don't want to support your comment section, that is perfectly fine, just make a sticky saying that you do not read or respond to it and leave it alone. The problem with outright locking it is we won't be able to support each other. I can't even count how many times I've run across an issue that another user posted a solution to in the comments. That is where we can post not just solutions to bugs, but load order questions, any fixes or patches made by other users, complimentary mods, hints or tips, or any other suggestions that we can provide for each other. It's also the ONLY place that you can get any Showboxjiofi local htmltplinklogin kind of support when a mod is abandoned, which ALL mods will be at some point.
Most of the time, you can know which end it's on by it's function, otherwise, just ask, or figure it out. While a responsible mod author will specify if a mod is for a specific end, most simply don't care, or haven't tested it on a specific end.
