I've been trying to make a large mod pack on 1.18.2 and currently have about 380 mods. I am using CurseForge, and all of the mods are Forge mods on the version forge 40.1.41 mod loader. I continue to launch the game and keep getting runtime errors, so in short, the game never launches and crashes, giving me "Exit code 1." I've looked a lot of fixes up and have done everything from, reinstalling CurseForge, Minecraft, reinstalling java JDK 17 and 18 as well as using Java 7 and 8. I also heard somewhere that in your mods folder (C:\Users\jmjjo\curseforge\minecraft\Instances\1.18.2 TEST\mods) if a file has 1.18.1, not 1.18.2, that could cause errors, so I have renamed some of them. I am really stuck and don't know what to do. I would attach a crash log but either I am looking in the wrong directory, or no crash logs are being generated. Please help me, this mod pack would be insane to play with...
More notes: I've tried deleting the config folder as well.
1: renaming files is never a good idea, nor would it fix that problem, mods are built for specific versions, renaming the mod wont change this.. It may just cause other issues instead.
2: Try this: in the CF app click the 3 vertical dots beside the "+ Create Custom Profile" > then click Repair Installation > then try loading the pack again. If you see Repair Profile, re-read these instructions.
2.5: if it says minecraft is running restart your pc
3: If your still having issues please join the CF discord, Room: #game-support

This process will help remove any corrupted files and install a brand new version of Java, which should solve almost any error they are facing. Players can uninstall Java from the "Apps & Features" window and then install it again from the Oracle or Java website. MyCoverageInfo

So a couple things here:

Thanks brother, sounds like the discord is some great help as well. I started fresh and am going to try to keep it not much higher than 300 mods
