ok, so i have an idea for a mod, but cant code it because im far too lazy to learn javascript (or whatever minecraft uses). 

in this mod, it adds a simple block, the schematic projector. and what this block does, is allows you to choose a schematic and the schematic adjusts depending on your terrain. want to build a cool town but dont want to terraform a mountain? use the projector.

Sounds like a cool idea, but I have a few questions/comments about your vision.

• Where do you get the schematic(s) that can be projected and what format would they be in?
• How did you envision the projected schematic visually? I'd assume particle effects around the air blocks that are "projected" at.
• Would the projectors be powered? If so by what source?
• Mods are written in Java which is completely different than JavaScript.

1. the block would come with a few schematics, maybe a few villages, but you could get others from a website or community compilation of different schematics.

2. i envisioned it as an opaque holographic image of the blocks in said schematic.

3. i never really thought about power... maybe have an rf option for hardcore packs (but idk why they would be using this :/ ) i originally just assumed it would be a lever or maybe a button in the block ui.

4. whatever... still doesnt change how lazy i am :P
