Iv just installed the latest version of forever stranded and I can't complete the dirty water quest because dirty water doesn't exist. I only get normal water from water sources and dirty water doesnt appear in NEI 

Dirty water isn't from a water source block, its crafted from a piece of dirt with an empty water bottle.

I'm running a server. It seems that when I'm running in the single player mod I can get dirty water just fine, but when I'm running in multiplayer on my server the recipe no longer exists. Does anyone have any ideas on this? 

HOW DO YOU CRAFT IT WHEN I GET A DIFFERENT TYPE OF DIRT

I don't wanna cheat for some normal dirt but how do I get it? all I have is coarse dirt and I cant even use it to craft dirty water

I tried crafting dirty water getting it from source and even cheating it in... NOTHING this Quest will not complete  only the second part (the dirt) says completed but it dosent read my Oak Barrels or Dirty Water!

i know how to do that. you have to make dirt in oak barrels cuz if you make dirt in barrels its normal dirt (you make dirt in barrels from spalings and cactuses).

When I use the dirt from the barrel using cactus to make the dirt, I was able to craft the dirty water and complete the quest.
