Hey guys I'm having some trouble progressing through the mod pack. I'm playing on staged mode, not gated, my quest book messed up so i reset it I wasn't far so i just picked up necessary items to get myself back to where I was. Now the problem is I don't know how to unlock new quest lines. while my book was messed up i could see all paths and what i needed to unlock them like for "A True Blacksmith" it said i need like slime or something now I can only see quests I have unlocked and don't know what I'm supposed to do other then complete every quest in a line which means i can only work on like one thing at a time. Sorry if this has been answered already, I skimmed the thread and didn't see it.
Had the same questions. The irrigation system is bugged, there's a workaround though, if you place a water channel next to the water channel above the sprinkler, the system will then realize there's a sprinkler and will start working, you can then remove the water channel you added and it will still work (the added channel is just to force the update).
Regarding the twerking, I was so curious about it that I've looked into the code of the mod to check, it does indeed help spreading as spread is called when a mature crop handles a growth tick, which is also what is caused by twerking.

I think finishing all the quests in a chapter is what you have to do. I don't think there's a specific quest that opens up the next chapter, it is just completing the chapter. Some chapters require two previous chapters to be completed to open them.
If you want to see which chapters unlock which chapters you can use "/bq_admin edit" to see the connections in Chapter 1.
that is kinda what I thought but actually addition and Pam's harvest line both unlocked after I made it to iron stage of colossal chest
Edit: By iron stage of colossal chest I mean the quest in Better Storage where you have to make the components to make a colossal iron chest. also all other quests in the Better Storage section were complete except for the colossal chest line

I know of someone who had problems running any modpack on the twitch launcher on mac. What solved it for them was to manually install Java 8 (emphasis on 8) and changing twitch settings so that minecraft ran on that java version.
I loaded this pack up to try it out, selected Void Islands to generate something to test flying around in without any modded contraptions in it, and while the pack takes a good while to load, it eventually loaded. I had to allocate more memory by editing the modpack in the Twitch launcher, didn't touch any files, just allocated 7.5GB of memory so JEI didn't crash, and it works now.
After it loaded, there didn't seem to be any noticeable issues generating terrain chunks or flying around in Creative mode. I'm not sure what I would need to test to verify it's going to be reasonably decent to play in.
Is there anything I can do to speed up the loading times for the pack and creating or loading a world?
How would I select the starting island to begin on? The quest book doesn't seem to be very clear or laid out so as to explain that properly. Maybe I'm missing something somewhere. Is there anywhere in the opening screen itself that tells me what version the Twitch launcher loaded on my client instance?
If there's an island type that would favor less lag, I would prefer to play that island as it would mean less problems with lag, if that's a thing in this modpack. At least for early game stuff, until I can get something decent up and running.
Possible Pack Issue: There might be an issue with Tinker's Tool Forge. It requires electrical steel which is not unlocked in a prior quest. After entirely too much searching I realized it wasn't necessary to complete the smeltery section but up until that point a quest never required things that you couldn't already create.
My World Issue (I think): Botania is just broken on my world, mana spreaders stopped delivering mana to anything about way through the mystical flowers chapter. Luckily loot bags drop enough black lotus's to get by I've just had to cheat past a few things to keep going.
Not Sure Issue: Starlight Infuser only works with the Astral Sorcery Aquamarine gem not the Silent Gem's version. Because the recipe that uses it isn't in JEI its hard to figure out why it doesn't work.
Have you crafted a Wand of the Forest that shows you what has mana in it, what is bound to where, etc? It sounds like something got unbound if your mana's not being transferred.
If a mana pool is full it can't accept any more mana. If something receiving mana fills up, mana spreaders will stop sending mana to it.
If that's not the issue, have you tried breaking and replacing all Botania blocks and items that are in-world?
Does the issue persist if you start Botania over from scratch with newly crafted items, for instance cheating in a new item and trashing the old one or throwing it into the void?
Has there been a pack update between play sessions? That may have reset restricted items, follow the quest in the book that resets everything. Note: You may have to spend a bit of time editing quests until it looks like what you've already handed in, as quests sometimes get reset after an update.
Just a few questions, suggestions, and pointers from someone who's been watching Direwolf20's videos on this modpack, don't mind me if they're not entirely accurate! :D

I think it will work, But I have a problem with the Memory Used Thingy At the startup. it goes to full and then the startup screen crashes! help me asap! :D
If you're using the Twitch launcher version allocate more memory by editing the pack and upping the memory for it to 6GB or more. I find it runs okay with 7.5GB although it probably could use more.
The default amount the Twitch launcher uses will not cover the memory requirements for this pack. if you're not using the Twitch launcher you will have to allocate more memory in whichever program you're using to run the pack.

I figured this out, turns out a keybind conflict was the issue here. Once that was resolved, everything started falling into place! :D
On a side note, I have lost track of the number of preference changes I've had to make to a pack before even starting it! What genius thought auto-jump on a skyblock was a good idea? *sighs* Minecraft devs, if you didn't already know!
Every time i play a new modpack I spend up to 20 minutes just tinkering with the options until they're how I like them. Would be nice if I could make that go faster somehow!
Ran into a bizarre and critical issue... Working through Advanced Resources in staged mode and I built the end portal multiblock assembly, went through and everything was fine until I loaded into the end. The main end island is there complete with the obsidian pillars and crystals but there was a major component of the end missing. The dragon wasn't there. So now, I'm stuck in the end unless I roll back to an older save before I went through the portal or I send everything back via an ender bag and anger the enderman. Anyone else made it to the end and had the dragon fail to spawn? Any fixes?
Reliquary mod has no config file, and really needs one since the update. Waaaaay too many "rare" drops from hostile mobs. Clutter and trash everywhere.
Did you bridge over to the main island and explore around a bit? You should have found an End Portal to the Overworld in the center surrounded by the pillars, it now spawns there in The End instead of having to kill the Ender Dragon. You now summon the Ender Dragon by crafting four of those blocks that heal it and placing them in specific spots around the End Portal..
As to what mod added this? Vanilla Minecraft! That's right, this is a change to vanilla Minecraft gameplay mechanics, not a mod!

Has anyone figured out how Chunk Loading was disabled in 3.3, or how to re-enable it?
When I try to craft a steel gear from thermal foundation the recipe conflicts with the boiler casing from mekanism.
