I was thinking about adding Optifine to the pack, it has helped a lot with other big modpacks that don't run so well, but I have read a comment on here that said Optifine broke their world but I never saw an answer on weather it was a problem just for him or if it was just not compatible with the pack, so question for the pack maker, or really anyone that might know, is it safe to add Optifine to the pack or is this a common problem with this pack?
For some reason every time i kill a mob with any sword it just burts in reliquary drops (For example each Enderman gives 1 stack of Nebulous Hearts) which breaks the modpack alot (I am playing in kitchen sink and already got the ProjectE transmutation table so infinite ender pearls means i have all the items without even trying)
You have a helmet from mega loot, some of those helmets can increase your luck, but only for reliquari drops, I have a helmet with 968 luck on it(1-2 stacks of loot from single mob)
I also cannot see the Golden Lasso recipe in JEI, so I assumed it was removed, and I was getting very confused about how to get past the ExU2 quest lines. Along the same lines, do we *have* to use a Vanilla Villager farm? It seems a bit weird for the pack to make that a requirement, given how non-vanilla my experience is so far.
i had to google the recipe and then do it that way to get the lasso you can still use it as far as i know i don't think that has been changed in the latest updates since i posted about that.
Anyone else have "problems" with Poisonous Libellels from EvilCraft? I think it's because part of my platform is in a River biome, but they seem to spawn even when the area is well-lit (they are "ambient" mobs) and occationally wander over and poison me or my cat. It's a bit annoying; and I was wondering if there's a good way to prevent their spawn.
Is the Jetpack Armor Plating(Bronze,Invar,Enderium) locked behind something? I got Thermal Enhancements unlocked and can't make the Flux-Infused Jetplate because its showing no recipe for those.
In version 3.4 I can no longer unlock new chapters in the questbook. I have been playing in staged mode. I have tried loading from betterquesting backups that were days and weeks older, nothing helps. I can successfully complete quests within chapters but the main chapters like "Advanced Mekanism" never become available to complete. I tried using edit mode to remove the quest requirements but that still didn't allow me to complete them. On various forums I saw that there should be a "Complete Quest" button in edit mode and that does not exist. Also some forums say to use the complete command but for that you need the quest ID which can only be found by hovering and holding shift, which does not work.
Also I cannot complete the Trophy room quests since 3.4 either. All this was working in 3.3.1.4
Hello i can't progress in staged mode i did all the quest in first two and i checked the first tab "quest book" and the other ones were gray. idk if it is important but when i started my world i accidentaly clicked on the gated mode and then reset my quests by deleting my progress.
Is this related? I'm seeing a problem where once the "Here it all starts" quest completes, staged mode doesn't seem to have any "reward" assigned (i.e. there's nothing to claim) so basic resources and basic tinkering are never unlocked and it's basically impossible to start playing the pack.
Is there any way I can work around this? Playing LAN/single player.
Hi , after update galacticraft keeps crashing if i try to press M ( deleted addons galacticraft-planets/ extra planets / planet progression ) kept galacticraft core and Micdoodle core , pressed M game did not crash. Before update i had a space station , teleported home from it with rf porter ( no clue if it is relevant or not ) Curent version 3.4
The combustion heater does not work well for me. Regularly, the item I throw in it returns to my inventory before I have time to put back the cobblestone on the top. It does that all the times, and I cannot figure out what is still in it and what returned to my inventory, so I have to start from scratch. This does not happen to people I saw play on YouTube, so either it happens just to me, either they cut the segments during which it happens. Some people were able to craft an item grate to put instead of the cobblestone, so that way no need to break and replace a block, but the item grate is not craftable for me: putting the ingredients in the crafting table or grid does not yield the item. The staged progression, while a good idea in theory, just ends blocking all interesting mods in favor of mods causing issues and complications. I saw Direwolf20 play on PneumaticCraft and he was having so much trouble that I don't want to play with that mod. Immersive Engineering is cool in theory, but now the book makes the game crash, so I'm not looking forward that chapter in the book. At this point, I don't know what to do next, besides avoiding to craft redstone and glowstone (these are the recipes that cause the issue with the heater), but these resources are necessary for progression.

I'm regularly getting "you dropped the unfamilar item" and cannot get the item stored anywhere, it just drops, drops and drops, so the only thing I can do is to let it despawn or move until the unfamilar item drops in the void. This is just annoying, this just makes the game longer to play for no reason. If I cannot use an item, it should just no exist and that's it, or at least stay in the inventory but just be unusable. Is it something configurable? Why did I never see any player on YouTube run into this issue? Probably they cut away the segments when they deal with that?
Another one: the combustion heater stopped making glowstone. Although there is 4 redstone and 2 blaze powder in it, nothing happens. I know I can try to double check, triple check, relog, restart the game, but that is pointless. It was working last week and now, nothing. Sky Resources is just way too painful to get anything efficient with it. It will be a hard and unpleasant trip to get to Botania when I will be able to turn redstone into glowstone using the catalyst, but I guess that's what I have to do.
Glowstone requires more heat units than most items. A wooden, stone, or iron casing can't hold that much heat. You have to use nether brick initially, and then advanced materials like osmium, manyullyn, end stone, enderium, or refined obsidian can be both efficient and high heat.

Stand further back. For wooden structures a trap door on the top might work and help. For stone or better structures, a dropper can be used (and need not be removed). Eventually, you'll unlock the quick dropper (also doesn't have to be removed).
Also, if you've turn of the magnetic "cheat" or a wearing/using any sort of magnet ring, turn it off / remove it before trying to toss items.

Older versions of the mod(pack) did not force you to drop unfamiliar items when they are the currently selected item on your hotbar. I haven't played 3.4, but on 3.3.x.y I was able to carry around unfamiliar items as long as they were not the currently selected hotbar item. I stored many in chests -- couldn't right-click them into drawers, but could hopper them into drawers (or controllers).
3.4 may have gotten more aggressive with this and forced a drop from anywhere in inventory. That would indeed be annoying early on (since inferium and charcoal blocks are common but unfamiliar early). Thanks for providing this feedback to the mod(pack) author.

That only happens if you use the old java version that comes default with the game. By default the twitch launcher uses 1.8.0_25 while the latest version java version is 1.8.0_171
Immersive engineering even displays a message when you load the world with an outdated java version that you need to update to fix the book crashes.
To fix the progression issues in 3.4's Staged Mode downgrading the Better Questing mod to version 3.5.253 (a.k.a. the version MS3D used in ver. 3.3.1.4) fixes the problem
