So I don't like the 'grinding simulator' type packs that have been dominating the featured page lately, where all you do is repeatedly perform a mundane task to get some resources until you can make the next stepping stone in progression. Their gameplay is rather mundane and I find myself getting tired of them very quickly. I'm looking for either: something more casual, more in the spirit of vanilla minecraft, but with all the features that come with modded.
OR, something more environmental, having you explore for resources, defend your base, and fight bosses, challenging your skill, rather than your patience. I also prefer quest-oriented modpacks, just because I'm still unfamiliar with a lot of features from a lot of mods. I also don't like older versions as much, as I'm less familiar with them.

In regards to the questing packs, check out the questing tab.
My modpack is also a quest pack, but it’s still
pretty new, you can see updates on it here: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/questers-pack.
