Here's the current situation with questing and where I am going with it.
Main story : Currently about 8 quests will go up to about 15.
Way of quests : Theses are progression quests so it's not every item in the packs. Should end up on average 20 per side. 2 sides per way and 3 ways so 120 quests. Thaumcraft missing does affect this a lot.
Machinery : Currently 8 quests will be about 20
On the hunt : 5 quests, will be about 30 once i figure out a good way to group them up.
Accessories of magic : This will be things like reliquary, aura cascade and probably embers. Expect about 20-40 quests in there.
The supernatural : Vampire or vampire hunter paths And witchery when it comes out.
So the total should be around 300 quests right now I am closer to 80. I keep having to change them because the mod makers are still mostly alpha and add/remove big things.
That being said, You are free to add/change whatever you want in the pack for your server as long as you just don't re-upload it with another name :)
great! Thanks for the info. I'm thinking about holding off until Thaumcraft comes out, at least. What to run in the meantime tho? Lol
I would never steal someone's pack, don't worry! I did find your pack while I was looking for a 1.10.2 magic-heavy pack, because I was putting together my own and wanted to see what is out there. So the one I was working on is quite similar to yours, but it's coincidence--there just isn't that much in 1.10.2 magic mods yet. And I haven't made it yet. :)
ExtraUtils2 has an easy cobblegen I think (Item transfer node + mining upgrade on a cobble block between a water and lava source). As for collecting resources, there is always the Blood Magic Ritual of Magnetism + Ritual of the Crusher
The Newest update is great except one thing.... the crusher from extra utilities is way to hard to make. Plus on top of that it says I need white and black ingot from Aura but its not letting me see how make them in JEI. I think it needs to go back to the way it was before. With Iron and gold and stuff. Its the only source of ore double and considering I just spent 2 hours straight mining and only came back with half a stack of iron and less than half a stack of gold I need me some ore doubling lol. I haven't found anything else that is bad with the pack so far. I did find a randomly generated area that had a little ladder going down and at the bottom was about 4 different spawners lol. So I am going to use that to make a mob farm especially since I set up shop near it cause I liked the area for my base. Oh! and for anyone who doesnt know... the freaking goats eat anything. I put my band of mana on my mana pool to charge up and came back 30 seconds later to get it.... it was gone and the goat was there. So I tested it... i threw some coal down for my plants to eat up and he ate them first..... not cool man. Lets just say he is no longer one with this world... LAWL!
The idea was to make these compact one block machines part of the mid/end game.
Initial Ore doubling is done with aura cascade. Check the quest line for it. You can also easily make the colored ingots with aura cascade as it is just one iron ingot and one colored wool. I have not added the coloriser to the quest line yet but will definately do so. It's easy to make and auto refreshes wool on sheep and changes the color randomly. You will be swimming in wool in no time.
Yeah I started looking into Aura stuff... it made absolutely no sense. Its written as if you already know what most of the stuff is. I guess I will have to figure it out anyways though. I also removed Lycanites cause I was getting sick of random mobs from the nether going thru the portal and blowing up my house even when they don't know where I am. All of a sudden... BOOM. Half my house gone. I was getting sick and tired of that crap, it happened 5 times in less than 2 hours. Its kinda hard to do any quests when your fixing your house all the time. lol

I just would like to point some issues that I'm facing with the pack to give you some feedback in the hope of helping you with the pack's development.
The first (and the only important issue really) is the recipe for tin ore processing in the crusher. The output is blank with 10% chance of copper grit according to JEI. I didn't find tin grit or dust in the JEI menu so I don't know if it is intended or not but it would be great to have this ore doubling mechanics to tin as well.
I've also been experiencing some difficulty with the quest completion detection (just as yourself on your youtube videos) and sometimes I have to force quest completion with the "/bq_admin complete" command. That is just a minor issue in my point of view but it is still a little annoying. The quest that I remember having this issue is the quest 172 (and also 51 and 174 if I'm not mistaken). I know it would take a lot of effort and time but maybe moving to HQM is a good option.
Finally, the last thing I would like to point out (that is not really an issue) is that the light overlay is not working properly for some reason. I suspect that this is due to the CustomMobSpawner mod and the way it works. I know it is required for the Dr'Zhark's Mo'Creatures mod but from what I read it interferes with the overlay for some reason. This seems to be a ongoing issue for some years now and I don't know if there is or will be any solution for that. An additional mod like LLOverlayReloaded could be an option but again I don't know if it will work or not with CMS installed.
