I'm currently working on a small modpack that i want to submit here on curse. however, in order to do that i need to create a proper manifest.json file. I do not have curse installed (and there's no way i can do so), i have to do this by hand. so what i need to know is:
i will include all mod files in the overrides folder. do i still need to add them in the files section of the manifest?
if i have to: how do i get a project's "ProjectID" and "FileID"?
You can get an example of a properly formatted manifest.json from any modpack hosted on curse. I have small one called Ultra Mini Omnia, The manifest.json is as follows:
I suspect based on the information you gave that you are using either a Commodore 64, Amiga or Linux machine as the reason you can't use the Curse Launcher to build the pack. Have you tried running the Curse Launcher under Wine?
thanks for your help, i didn't realize the shortened URLs contain those IDs.
those mods/files mentioned in the manifest don't need to appear in the overrides, right?edit: ofc not, stupid.
i am running linux (no commodore xD ), and i am not able to install curse under wine because the installer is freezing as soon as i choose "install" (the windows that were hidden behind it appear instead of any window content).
i already installed .net 4.0, i have no clue what the problem is. i'd just set up a VM, but unfortunately i don't own a valid windows key higher than win2000.
