I've been loving this pack, but it's hard enough that I have to scour the web, etc. for tips. One of the places was the CurseForge wiki pages, and I'm wondering if the online pages index is meant to be gone. I had been using lots of pages like:
but as of the latest update, the 'index' on the right that shows all the pages is now replaced with just a list of Versions. Thus, I can't find any of the other pages anymore.
I'm having trouble with the progression in the pack. I'm using the latest version as of July 29 - the Hotfix for 2.2
I'm not sure if it's a JEI issue, or if it's a recipe tweak in the latest version, but I can't figure out how to move forward:
I've set my sights on the bucket - the only recipe for this that I can find is in the Rolling Machine.
From what I can see, the rolling machine is gated behind: * Empowered Actually Additions crystals
* Evilcraft blood magic
* A functioning Extreme Reactors reactor
* Grinding about 20,000 crushed nether in a cauldron without any automation (I can't figure how to fill the cauldron using available machines)
Am I just missing something? I've looked to see if there are dictionary-equivalents to advanced circuits, etc, and I'm not having any luck.
I'm concerned that the starmetal requirement for the Empowered Palis Crystals may in fact require a bucket in Astral Sorcery. (Through a requirement for a TE compactor machine with a reception coil that requires dawnstone which needs an Embers stamper which requires a bucket.... maybe?)
Since getting a bucket seems to be the gate for much of the mod -- how certain are we that we can make one without first having one as the pack currently stands?
I was following the guide up to the point where we hit Applied Llamagistics; it was instructing me to get to an inscriber, but the inscriber recipe I have requires sticky pistons which require Empowered Restonia. Should I skip AL as a nice-to-have-but-not-required, and go on to AA, and come back once I'm able to make the Empowered Restonia?
How does one get copper if they do not have pumpkins/seeds from that island start? It seems required to do alchemical for copper, and copper is required for impregnated sticks for the hammer progress toward steel.
Might be worth mentioning somewhere early on in your guide (the FTB one) that your recipe for a cauldron requires steel. Only reason I say that is because Stage 2 of Sky Resources has Gem production and you need a cauldron to clean the dusts.
Not massively important but I spent a while trying to work out how I could get steel at this stage and what I was missing!
I spent like 2 hours in JEI trying to figure out a path to copper and I just don't see it. You need pumpkin seeds -> grass -> dead bush + shears -> carpenter -> bronze -> copper. dead end. Or you need infusion stone to get grass and you end up needing gold alchemical for that which needs wheat which once again needs grass. I'm restarting with the island that has cactus because the early guaranteed life infusion seems to solve the issue; the tree start is missing the ability to get a lot of that stuff easily until way late in the pack. You also need copper to do cabling for machines that would get you to the steel age (and cauldron for ores) AFAIK. The sand island seems like the best one. Of course maybe I screwed up the tree start by moving all the dirt, if it was grass (which the opening picture seems to show).
Actually, even if you lose all your grass, you'll still be able to make a cacti as you can make a Survivalist's Fishing Rod and fish out a Spruce Sapling.
I just got an account for myself and one for my son. I have been playing under his account. How can I continue playing the world I made so far as the new account.
Hey there - playing the latest version 2.2.3 as of this writing. I've noticed strange behavior from the AE2 Inscriber:
When I try to make a logic processor, I get an engineering processor instead. Normal AE2 inputs (Printed logic circuit top; redstone middle; printed silicon bottom) and takes the normal time, but yields the wrong processor.
Wondering if it's a pack thing or if AE2 has a recipe wrong (or ids the printed circuit wrong)
Or perhaps it's just me.
Anyway, I've replicated this in a single-player world with the 2.2.3 version.

Pardon me, I missed that.
EDIT: ... meaning I didn't see you had updated the pack.
PS Thanks for the pack have been looking for anew challenge for a while now.
Guys, the pack just hit 50K downloads! Thank you all!

Is it the same PC? If so, you can copy the world to your folder. It's not a bad idea to make backup copies of your world anyways, just in case.
