boooo. I was afraid of that. /sigh. When I try to upgrade to the latest version and copy my world file over the game crashes shortly after the world loads. What is the cleanest sequence I need to take to get upgraded to the latest version without crashing?
So I started upgrading 1 pack revision at a time, and I got up to 2.3.0 with no problems. Everything seemed fine in my save. Then when I went from 2.3.0 to 2.3.1 my world became F-ed up. All my multiblock structures transformed into something else like different types of wood. My storage drawers became TNT blocks. Actually Additions blocks became metal blocks and so on. Any way to get this not to happen when updating from 2.3 to 2.3.1?
Hello Emosewagamer: I hope to be posting in the right place. I found a mistake in a recipe, when mixing coal dust with gunpowder, I would have to leave, a fuel, but it does not come out, I hope it will serve you for the next update. a greeting
PS: Also happens a lot, that when breaking a tool, which you have 2 in the inventory, or finish some material, which you have more, in the inventory, is not automatically replaced by the ones you have, you are left empty, The hole, and you have to open the inventory to appear.
I found a workaround! Apparently all normal vanilla minecraft blocks are unphased by the 2.3 to 2.3.1 change (which corresponds to 1.12 to 1.12.1 core game update).
So I broke down all my machines and multiblocks and stuffed them all in chests. Chests retained their contents from version to version after 2.3 so I am fully upgraded to the latest version of teh mod pack, and now I just need to put my machines and multiblocks back down and I am ready to rock-n-roll. Not too painful...
You will still run into issues because all the chaos sparks become machine blocks. There may be some other world gen issues on other dimensions too like org gen issues ect, you could perhaps delete the other dimensions folders.
Hey, loving the pack, but have ran into a problem. I can't make charged cereus quartz in a combustion heater. I'm using a steel heater with an iron frame and have more than enough HU, but nothing is happening. Any thoughts?
I am noticing an invisibility bug that has spanned across all updates I have played where some mobs will be invisible. It happens on livestock and my snowman as well but of course it's less deadly for me when they have the bug as opposed to mobs... I am guessing that this is not an intended feature. If I restart the game it goes away but then later comes back. Not sure what triggers it.
Hopefully a quick, but probably dumb question but in the latest version how do i get Steel? I need to make a Cauldron (i'm still really only in Stage 2), there are no IC2 Blast Furnaces, now can i make the Immersive one as that requires more than what i have.
The few videos i found are old where iC2 is in and one thread i found on reddit mentions netherwart but i don't see how i get from that to steel!
You do need to make the immersive coke oven and blast furnace, it only takes a few days to get there. It's a case of upgrading the condenser to boost the number of ingots per dust, allowing for enough gold for the demon ingots. But even prior to that stage you need treated sticks for the hammer, that needs the squeezer and Carpenter.
Thanks for the reply, for Forestry that needs bronze, which i can see only via embers so i presume i need to go to embers before steel then?
Sorry, just realised to make demon steel do i not need lava around 4 x netherbrick? I dont have the ability to make netherrack, as it needs 920 HU and im only using a stone condenser ;/ Cant upgrade that without bronze, so i think i have actually answered my own question, i need Embers!
Hmm, well i suck at this pack, cant make bronze via embers because the machine needs iron plate.
Not sure where at all to go now, really do not have a clue.
Ignore all that, didnt realise there was an Embers Hammer that i can use to make Plates, so i have Iron Condenser and Combustion now :P
Problem is I don't have rock crystal... all I can make is rock crystal ore. I see the recipe in JEI to make the floating crystal with the atomic constructor. There just seems to be no way to go from rock crystal ore in block form to the crystal itself.
You need to place it and break it with a diamond pickaxe (vanilla) or steel (tinkers construct)
I'm on 2.3.8 server (hosted locally), and whenever my multifarm puts down a tree sappling the item I'm holding disappears no matter where I'm standing or what I'm doing.
I can't find anything related to this bug, and I've used multifarms in the past in other modpacks...
Is there, some way, to automate, the cauldron? is quite slow and heavy, having to be processing the crystals by hand and filling it with cubes. I have tested it with several fluid pipes, with the water pump, and none, it connects to the cauldron.
it is meant to be non-automatable. There is no way to automate the cauldron. Luckily, you don't need much of the resources to progress and get a rock crusher and a rock cleaner which crush and clean gems automatically (they need A LOT of power, though, you need some sort of setup to generate power)
Why fill with cubes? use clay bucket with water. water is still infinite in this pack
Anybody have a VERY early game mobfarm with iron spikes that work with automated item collection? One way i thought worked was hoppers under the spikes, however that obviously doesn't.
