Having an issue. SO, after equiping an Effortless Ring from Evilcraft, it makes you jump as you move forward (W) or any forward key assigned. Even after unequiping the jumping effect still happens, I was able to recreate this on creative worlds if you would like to see for yourself. If anyone knows how to fix this, i would be greatly appreciative!
Well, the fix was just not have it in your inventory... SO sad.. Anyway, it is still a bugged item, if you could take a look at it and either disable or if possible fix the issue that would be awesome!
You can make peat with boggy soil(some name like that) it takes dirt sand and mulch in the carpenter. You place that around a water source and wait a while.
When I try to update to 2.4.1 I just hang on the loading screen where it says generating terrain. I have let it chug for over an hour and nothing happens. It's not a performance issue on my machine (16Gb Ram, 3.5GHz processor, etc etc).
So I tried making the jump from 2.4 straight to 2.4.2 and my world loads but it's completely corrupted with most non vanilla blocks changing into other things. My furnace turned into a baby mooshroom. Cute but not what I was hoping for...
So my question is this since it seems I am stuck. Is there a recommended method to port your world over when this pack jumps from revision to revision? All I am doing is downloading the new revision from twitch and then copying my save folder over to the new pack folder. Is there a better way or a different way to go about this? I have built a ton of stuff in 2.4 that i do not want to have to start over or use my previous method of tearing all non vanilla stuff down into chests and rebuilding back up after an update. There must be an easier way...
There was a warning in the update notes about a potential world corruption, you could try loading one of your backups, there will be 1 backup from the update process in the game folder, and you should have a bunch in your backup folder.
Snow Golem does not working on the platform. On answer I found was changing the mobGriefing. But this break the mechanic of some bosses.
I think the better choise should be a different start on this platform. (The guide should be changed by the mod author).
First you harvest the a Snowblock by shift+right+clicking and gets 8 Snowballs. You need only 4 for a new Snowblock. With this method you increase the amount of your Snowballs very slow. Now you create the Freezer, the Heave Snowball und the Heavy Snow. With Heavy Snow you enlarge the platform and can build der Snow Golem on that. The Snowball production works on Heave Snow!
@Grayal If you recraft the snow blocks again, you get snow bricks which is also a suitable building block for a platform (rightclicking has no effect with it). Also when you have a crafting table, snow bricks have a slab, so you can make your mob spawner entirely from same material which is good for eye.
@EmosewaGamer Do you plan a little bit lighter version of the pack? I tried it out with 5G allowed memory for it, and it did not loaded after waiting for ages, also the memory meter were always in red zone. I currently have only 8G memory in my machine and I need at least 2-3 to keep a browser open for wikis and Google along with the game, since the modpack is full of new mods for me.
I made some investigation about how can I strip down things from the pack, but recipes bind all mods together. I love the idea of this pack and also a big fan of skyblock but... :-(
Am I missing something or is the only way to get Dimensional Shards, initially, is to make a Tier 6 Void Ore Miner or grinding end stone which has a very very small chance and cannot be done with compressed end stone? It looks like all created dimensions are void dimensions. (Playing MC 1.12 version)
Ok a for less snarky than Emose's reply, if you open the game folder, go into the mods folder look for betterfps and formfix both have a .disabled after their filename, remove the .disabled and re run the pack. This does allow the pack to function fine on under 5 gig, however there will be an issue where some of the island's units will crash when chunks unload, my work around for this is chunk loading the chunks.
I tried the digital miner in many locations in the beneath, no luck. Same with the end. When I said created dimensions, I was talking about dimensions created with rftools. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Can not use the laser from industrial foregoing either since dimensional ore is not listed in its config. Looks like i will be waiting potentially a few days before having dimensional shards. I just wish I had known a lot earlier that getting the tier 6 void miner was pretty much mandatory. Can't even use preferred lenses with the void miner to increase the chance of getting the materials needed to upgrade the void miner since the configs use non-existent lenses. Oh well, I'll get them eventually.
Edit: Right after posting this, I remembered we have Acceleration wands. And I have lots of xp. And the wand works on the void miner. Now I just need to increase the amount of power available to the void miner.
I will check it again, but I tried foamfix and did not helped in the loading time. By the way, could you please be kind to answer my question? Regardless if Foamfix can or cannot help me, I like to build extensive bases and packs with this size performs quite bad on my computer regardless what magic i involve. I only have 8 G of memory and a very old CPU, so even if memory is not an issue, CPU is.
Thanks for your reply. I will definitely try again with FoamFix, however my machine definitely hates BetterFPS, I even get much worse FPS with BetterFPS/Optifine solution than if I let vanilla rendering do its work. Don't ask me how it can happen, but this is my experience. Maybe my CPU is too old and performs bad with that magics used in these new FPS-optimizer stuffs, I do not know.
I checked around the recipes and I remember I saw dimensional shards can be created somehow. Even if it is a bit pricey, you should check it out. (nvm, i read again your post) Nether/End is a poor source of Dimensional Shards as I remember if RFtools left in its original state.
But, if you play in singleplayer, why not enlist dimensional shard ore in Industrial Foregoing config?
