im curently working on my new hardcore modpack for 1.12.2 which would be themed with progressive technologies starting from cave to mekanism and because, from my prespective is begining in technical modpacks pretty easy i instaled Survivalist mod.
The reason im writing there is because Survivalist mod add recipe for cobble which includes 8 pieces of rock which drops from stone, which is awesome and 1 piece of clay.
Im planing to use that modpack for multiplayer purposes and from my experience i think its rly rly rly RLY hard to find clay unless you are extreme lucky and spawn near river, but in case of server its not something u can manage so im looking for a solution how to bring clay to overworld.
I used botania for the Clayconia (clay flower?) but it seems stupid to use that big of a mod for only one purpose and i recently discovered block tweaker for 1.12.2 which would be able to change drop of any block.
I wanted to use that behavior for dirt to have a % chance to drop a piece of clay and a dirt, but its nosence because it would make infinite source of clay from one dirt and its not realistic nor good.
Another idea was about dirt dropping clay and different type of dirt but that would also removed vanilla dirt because i couldnt "remake" it for same reason as above.
Last idea was about making a new dirt block with same properties as normal dirt block but with different ID (for example made in custom things 4) but im not a programer and i have no experience what so ever with programing so i wouldnt be able to make different dirt block with same properties as normal vanilla one.
Im looking for solution which would make clay "easily" affordable for everyone no-matter where they are
