Thanks for the links, I can now try this out. Did you have a particular reason for making this a totally free-form (player decides what happens) game with no specific targets?
Edit: It seems I never came to the forum page from the Description page, I came here from the minecraftforum.net post about the modpack, which didn't mention a download link at that time. In fact, I was unaware there was even a modpacks section to Curse until about three minutes ago. I see that the original article has since been updated with a download link. Sigh.
Don't change the fishing. The wheat grows far to slowly. You said freeform pack, and this allows folk who don't push to progress without getting annoyed.
I don't do more than one tree at a time. Far to claustrophobic in that little room. The only thing letting folk fish is doing is getting past the tree->sieve->progress phase slightly faster. It does little for you in the long run since the fish come out dead. You have to dive into machines to get anything else out of them.
I assume food isn't supposed to be dastardly hard either or we would have spice of life, hunger overhaul in here. With the wheat initially moving so slowly and having to use the vanilla recipe for a wile, One is often walking around with maybe a piece of bread. Go swimming, build a mob drop or whatever and you will find the ole hunger dipping.
I could just be horrible at this , but it this is on par with agrarian skies pace without the hassle of do this or else quests.
For those dying for some sort of quest direction you could get a form of hqm's the journey, set it up to intro folk to bits and piece of the pack and be done with it.
Also thinking on it, if one is going to restrict any resource , (edit for comma!)things from the sea probably isn't on that list. We are at the bottom of a world of water. Maybe the fish are poisonous and we have to do double to process them, or some other method of toning them down (though I have been fishing for 2 hrs now , far less stress than hitting leaves)
The safari nets coming in from fishing might be a bit much. (eyes the sheep)
Just downloaded after using the new Cursevoice (or whatever it is). At first it would just crash every time I tried to play (wouldn't even get to a title menu). Changed it to 1.7.10 and it worked, but when I loaded in there were no blocks at all, just spheres of air in the water, a tree on some dirt, and a chest. I spawned in the water as well away from all the spheres.
Am I missing something or did I not download something I needed to?

Yeah, what is your reason for making it a free-form pack? Personally I love Hardcore Questing, not because it helps you know what your doing but because I feel accomplished when I complete a quest and earn a useful reward. It's totally understandable if you want to go your own path with this pack, but I think a lot of people will agree that Hardcore Questing is one of the best quest mods, especially for adding storylines.
It's not the end all be all mod for adding quests and storyline. I have things planned out there will be a story and side quests, I'd like to get the pack stable and set with a few extra features before than
- There are a gazillion of mods installed with zero description on how to use them. I don't want to read through hundreds of pages just to get started, besides that I first would have to figure out where to actually find documentation. This definitely requires some form of "Getting started" guide/wiki.
- The map is nice, however I don't like the look of the construction (personal opinion) but I have no option other than to start with exactly that.
- Waila is polluting my screen with random nonsense. Please cut it down to the essential information, having it cover half of the screen constantly is a pain.
- Curse client. I hate that crap. I know why you use it, but please offer an alternate zip with just the mods/config for people who do not want to use Curse.
Sapling drops are enough, but low. I found a better dirt supply method which is a lot easier. With a vanilla fishing rod I can keep one barrel almost continuously composting fish.
Clay seems to be gated behind iron - I like this, knocked me out of ex nihilo autopilot.
I believe you can use glass bottles to fill up a barrel. Or water running over the top will fill it as well.
Water flowing over the top doesn't seem to fill barrels for me. Can you post a screenshot of a working setup?

2 ways (maybe more?) of getting water into a barrel. One fish, I know that sounds redundant but inevitably you will get a glass bottle, water bottle or a bottle of enchanting all of which get you a glass bottle.
Otherwise fish to sieve dirt for stones beat stones , sieve to get iron .. you know that routine.
Interesting to note there are other options to getting iron and if you are daring you can go swimming outside a bit and -might- get a loot bag from a spawned dude that drowned. Happens now and then.
My suggestion is to look into what blue power offers, look into progressive animation.
If all else fails make dirt, fill another area with grass, wait for cows , hope one is iron. Make bucket , profit.
Thank you Tedyhere I am appreciating this pack it is exactly what I was looking for.
3 glass = bottles.. 3 sand = glass, quicker than sifting for broken iron ;) And you are most welcome. Update coming Sunday I think will fix the no teslatite issue. Is being added to the sand sieving.
Is there a changelog list of what you have changed in each version?

I don't get it. I tried the pack and I spawn inside the water (outside the building). I have been running around it forever and even switched to creative but I can't seem to find a way in. Is there something wrong or am I missing something?
Something is wrong... you should spawn in the top of the building in a room with just a chest and elevator down to lower levels. As far as I know there is no way in unless you break some glass to get in.

missing mods, sometimes the download doesn't go as planned. Most the spheres are made out of enderIo glass and factory blocks (chisel2)
delete it and download it again mebbe?

Point 1) Working on a in game wiki style option
Point 2) Make a Map and Submit it and I will add it to the maps.
Point 3) Will take that into consideration tho you can edit that yourself
Point 4) There is a zip in the Description on the Modpack page on Curse and CurseForge project page.
Thanks for the feedback.
