I've reduced the rate for the extractors to try to prevent backstuffing but it still happens sometimes. Is there a way for the extractor to send the backstuffed item when that item is requested by a stock module instead of waiting for me to manually unstuff it? Or maybe I can put a trashcan behind a sorting interface and set it to lower priority so that it would get the overflow instead of the extractors getting backstuffed? What happens is the stock module requests items and the extractors send them out at the set interval and keeps sending them until the stock module is happy but that sometimes means there are some left in the relocator mesh that have to go back to the barrel. Meanwhile itemduct from the harvesters has used that window of opportunity to fill up the barrel so when the item comes back it stuffs the extractor. My brute force last resort fix is to replace the barrels with DSUs.
I'm not really happy with the way stuffing works right now, but it's a hard problem. RR stuffs at the input (not output like itemducts). Before getting stuffed the items will try to find a new output once. If you don't use a blocked extraction module, items can go back to the place they got outputted from. To fix the problem you have you could use blocked extraction modules, the items won't go back to the barrel then and stuff at the bioreactors. If there's room in the bioreactors the items will automatically be inserted into it (no need to manually unstuff).
Refined Relocation doesn't try to output the item elsewhere than the place where stuffed to prevent them from lagging the server by sending items around the whole network all the time when there's more input than output. This can still happen in some cases, but it's less likely than with the system 1.6.4 itemducts used. It's always a trade-off between performance and function, but I think there's room for improvement.
Thanks for the feedback! I really need it to make the mod better :)
If you have more feedback please post it here, so we don't turn this thread in a RR discussion thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1293062-refined-relocation-1-0-8-solves-your
