I had the same problem, enable the "Advanced Options". After that it Curse launches Minecraft with the old launcher.

I hade it, too.

DON'T use the "MY DOCUMENTS" Folder.

Moved The Minecraft dir in the settings to my games drive (E:\Minecraft\curse) and everything works.

may java can't access the documents?
