To anyone else stumbling onto this. It seems that these oremounds are generated by the ruins mod. I found "OreSpire" and "OutCrop" files in the ruins_config/generic folder.

There is also LittleTiles, which enables creating custom functional blocks: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/littletiles
As for jobs and economy. That probably is up to the players, I believe. There are tons of economy mods. Some even add ATM-s.

The mod in question is "The One Probe". Since you already have HWYLA (older name WAILA) installed, it probably is not necessary. The difference between the two is that TOP can be configured to only show when you have the Probe item in hand, while, iirc, HWYLA is always active and has no such item .
Idk about HWYLA, but the TOP window position can also be configured in the "Mods" menu. The other good thing about TOP is that it is possible to configure it to show item amount in chests etc in the same information window. If you do not want to remove the mod for some reason, take a look at the "Mods" menu, look for "The One Probe" or look for "theoneprobe.cfg" in your config folder.

I'm testing a small modpack I'm making and when testing the world, I notice there are these oremounds on the surface in the overworld (see image attached). However these don't fit in with the general theme of the pack I'm making and I would like to disable them. I have looked through config options for the mods I could think of, but I have not found the mod in question. Does anyone know which mod adds those mounds?
