posted a message on How can i create a private pack for more persons?

Private like in not publicly available? Then unfortunately I think this is not possible.

    EDIT:

You could however go to your modpack folder and copy the mods and config folder, and give it to your friends.

The other alternative is to just upload it to curseforge, it's easier, but then it's publicly available.

    If they fixed it, yes.

If they don't know about the problem -> No..

But it's always worth a shot.

I doubt anybody except for my community will use it, but if you'll, here's a place to discuss it!

     <- (Pack is awaiting approval)

I'm preparing the quest update, and have some quests already finished :)

    EDIT:

Added a page with all the changed crafting recipes:

    http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/madroxide/pages/recipe-changes

    EDIT2:

I need some people to "beta-test" the quests and features. If anybody is willing to help me, please write me a PM.

posted a message on Inexplicable crashing... at least inexplicable to me MK2

Maybe try next time to paste it to http://pastebin.com..

Anyway. The crash happens because of journeymap, and botania. The BlockDoublePlant is missing the icon. Or journeymap isn't able to grab it.

[journeymap]: Error getting BlockDoublePlant icon from mod. Plese report this exception to the mod author of Botania:doubleFlower2:

I'd suggest opening the map with MCEdit and remove the block. And of course report it to the Botania author.

posted a message on Broken Layout in Forums with Chrome

That's.. Odd. I'm using chrome myself, but everything is fine there. Except for a bug that the buttons are always shown and / or overlapping with the post, but I thought it was one of my addons..

posted a message on Instructions or videos for multiword

Yep, the information is very limited, but have you looked at this?

    http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/multiworld/pages/multiworld

    http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/multiworld/pages/multiworld/importing

MultiWorld.cfg is read each time the world is loaded, so you can add/remove dimensions. It also has dynamic reassign for dimensionIDs so if won't crash if installed with Mystcraft.

The author is also not very active anymore I think.

The last comment from the author was (May 24, 2014):

It's kind of tricky to document this mod, as a lot of the things that don't work are due to Mojang changes. Been trying to work around it all, but it's taking forever.

posted a message on Pack Rejected Twice Now - Perhaps I am Doing Something Wrong?

I could be blind but Artifacts is not on the list?

It could also be because you didn't give credit? Because it says:

Standard Open Use = free to use, give credit to the author and link to site.

But to be honest, my pack with overrides was accepted ~2 minutes after uploading. And we just can speculate but we won't know for sure, so it's best to get the reason from an admin / mod.

posted a message on Non-Curse Mods in Modpack?

Would be best you read this up here:

    http://www.curseforge.com/knowledge-base/120-minecraft-modpack-submission

Mods for modpacks must either be hosted on CurseForge, or MIT/GPL style license. Mods using conditional use licenses will not be allowed in the overrides folder.

Note: Modpacks with included third party mods will take longer to approve than packs without them.

You can find a list of known public use mods on the Third Party Mod List.

Basically if a mod is on CurseForge you can use it in a pack on the client through the manifest.json. If a mod is on the third party list you can use it by putting it inside "overrides/mods". If its not on CurseForge and not on the list, the pack will be rejected.

    Submitting Mods:

Users and modders may submit mods/texturepacks to added to the third party mod list. We will need:

    • A link to the official download site
    • A link to the license.  Personalized permissions, a link to a text file, forum screenshots, etc won't count.  They are easy to forge, and checking all of them would require too many man hours.

posted a message on Mod pack not showing up

You have to have at least one file uploaded that is either beta or release. Alpha versions are not shown in the Curse Launcher!

posted a message on Can't find own modpack

Because I had the same problem and found this, No he released a modpack version but:

When you upload your modpack on curse you can select what type of version it is (Release, Beta, Alpha). He probably did the same thing as me, and release a first alpha of it and then searched on the Curse client. But it doesn't show up. You have to have at least 1 file marked as beta in there.
