Hello! Just wanted to pop in and say that I've started a new world, and am not having further problems. Aside from having updated Java, I didn't do anything differently...so either Java was it, or a recent update fixed it.

Thanks to everyone for your help and advice, and to our modpack maker/s for their fine work on this pack.

Really liking that the new versions of Minecraft are so fast to get some interesting mods, and that there's folks taking the time and effort to get them together in easy to use packages like this.

Definitely have Java 8...and I downloaded the modpack from Cursed. Or is there something else I should do to get that particular file?

Strange...but I suppose 1.9 is brand-spankin' new, modwise. Maybe it's not so strange at all. :)

So I decided to give this a go, excited at the idea that I can combine the fun and flexibility of mods with the features of the brand new version of minecraft. And, surprise surprise, the reality is a bit more complicated than that. :)

Crash to the desktop when the world starts to generate.

    I humbly present pastebin. http://pastebin.com/5yjvx9ZK

At first I had this notion the Elements of Magic mod might be behind it, so I took it out and tried again. Nope. Same error and crash. I haven't put it back in yet, so if an eagle eyed viewer notices its absence...that's why. But it crashed when it had it too.

Looking forward to giving this pack a try! Thanks very much for any assistance you can offer.
