Corealing posted a message on Curse forge keeps editing my config files even when I set them to read only

I've been constantly trying to edit how a biome spawns in a config and whenever I save, set to read only load up my modpack it resets the config file to its default settings, help would be greatly appreciated.
this is on 1.12.2 if that even helps.
