    /sigh

Everything was great and happy in 2.4

When I try to update to 2.4.1 I just hang on the loading screen where it says generating terrain.  I have let it chug for over an hour and nothing happens.  It's not a performance issue on my machine (16Gb Ram, 3.5GHz processor, etc etc).

So I tried making the jump from 2.4 straight to 2.4.2 and my world loads but it's completely corrupted with most non vanilla blocks changing into other things.  My furnace turned into a baby mooshroom.  Cute but not what I was hoping for...

So my question is this since it seems I am stuck.  Is there a recommended method to port your world over when this pack jumps from revision to revision?  All I am doing is downloading the new revision from twitch and then copying my save folder over to the new pack folder.  Is there a better way or a different way to go about this?  I have built a ton of stuff in 2.4 that i do not want to have to start over or use my previous method of tearing all non vanilla stuff down into chests and rebuilding back up after an update.  There must be an easier way...

    Thanks,

    Dwosi

SkyResources2 question regarding combustion heaters.  I recently upgraded to a Manyullyn Combustion heater and casing.  It has awesome efficiency & production (1296%) but I no longer have the option to insert fuel.  It's like the GUI changed and I don't know how to fuel this version of the machine.  I checked the guide, searched videos, etc with no luck.  The gui says it's a valid multiblock structure but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to fuel the darn thing.  I tried a heat provider under the heater with no luck.  What am I doing wrong or is this combination not intended to work together?

/edit I hate it when I figure something out like min after I post...  Just figured out I need to pipe lava to the combustion heater, and It powered right up.  I should have read the clue in the item description which provided a HU conversion for a bucket of lava... :p

    Thanks,

    Dwosi

I am noticing an invisibility bug that has spanned across all updates I have played where some mobs will be invisible.  It happens on livestock and my snowman as well but of course it's less deadly for me when they have the bug as opposed to mobs... I am guessing that this is not an intended feature.  If I restart the game it goes away but then later comes back.  Not sure what triggers it.

I found a workaround!  Apparently all normal vanilla minecraft blocks are unphased by the 2.3 to 2.3.1 change (which corresponds to 1.12 to 1.12.1 core game update).

So I broke down all my machines and multiblocks and stuffed them all in chests.  Chests retained their contents from version to version after 2.3 so I am fully upgraded to the latest version of teh mod pack, and now I just need to put my machines and multiblocks back down and I am ready to rock-n-roll.  Not too painful...

    Thanks,

boooo.    I was afraid of that.  /sigh.  When I try to upgrade to the latest version and copy my world file over the game crashes shortly after the world loads.  What is the cleanest sequence I need to take to get upgraded to the latest version without crashing?

So I started upgrading 1 pack revision at a time, and I got up to 2.3.0 with no problems.  Everything seemed fine in my save.  Then when I went from 2.3.0 to 2.3.1 my world became F-ed up.  All my multiblock structures transformed into something else like different types of wood.  My storage drawers became TNT blocks. Actually Additions blocks became metal blocks and so on.  Any way to get this not to happen when updating from 2.3 to 2.3.1?

    Thanks,

Also got stuck making sturdy stone (from Quark) for pistons.  8 cobble around the outer edge is not working as a crafting recipe.  Tried stone as well with no luck.  I am playing version 2.2

okay I got this one figured out.  I am a dummy and wasn't mixing the stone & cobble properly.  But I still cannot make casts correctly using the smeltery; see question above using brass or gold.  Casts no worky.

ok I tried both brass and gold, and neither of them worked to pour any casts on the smeltery table.  Is there something else I need to do in order to get this to work?

    Smeltery questions

Loving the pack so far.  2 questions regarding tc smeltery

    1)  I couldn't get blood from the smeltery to drain into a basin so I can make hardened blood for use with evilcraft.  I was able to dry a bucket using the drying basin but was wondering if it wasn't intended to drain into basin which should be allowed according to JEI

    2)  I cannot seem to make casts using aluminum brass.  I put the items on the casting table and hit the faucet just as in other previous packs but nothing happens.  What am I missing?

    Thanks!
