    Updates:

    - As suggested by Luke, we will be referencing aaronhowser1's HQM pack, which seems like a wonderful tutorial quest pack to begin with. However, seeing how the tutorials could be improved and mods added, we will continue working towards creating our own questing modpack.

I have always been a modpack player and lover. As a matter of fact, I started Minecraft itself with a modpack (Direwolf20 1.6.4) and am still playing the newly published wonderful modpacks up to this day. It is always a great pleasure to follow youtubes online or look up wikis and forums to learn about various mods little by little. But like many games, there comes a time when you get tired of playing alone and wish you had others to play with.

Now I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t come as such a difficult wish to many people who have wonderful communities and other means to find buddies to play with, but as a person living in a country where English is not the native language nor fluently spoken by most people, the wish is quite harshly hindered.

The fact that most mods and their related documents and videos are fundamentally in English makes it extremely difficult for people who aren’t fluent in English (such as most of those in my country) to learn about mods. This has sadly lead to the severely low popularity of modpacks in general in my country, and attempts to play with people abroad hasn’t been so easy for me either due to timezone differences.

Consequently, I have come to decide that I would like to make a modpack (or maybe more later) that teaches the use of some mainstream and popular mods through quests. I believe I have yet to find a modpack that effectively guides and teaches you about the mainstream and popular mods, but please correct me if I’m wrong and inform me about those wonderful modpacks! But unless otherwise proven, I wish to utilize either the HQM mod or the Better Questing mod to create a tutorial questpack and help the mod(pack) beginners pick up their learning with relative ease.

As much as I could do all of this myself, it would take tremendous amount of time (especially considering that once the quests are done, I will be translating them in my language so that the modpack may hopefully also be widely enjoyable in my country) and so, I would very much like to work with other talented people who are interested and willing to share their knowledge and take charge of a mod, to create step-by-step guide quests that will teach players all or most about the mod preferably without them having to resort to any outside sources at all for the learning.

The following is the guideline I have in mind for how the team will operate:

    1) Off-game work

: this refers to works such as but not limited to brainstorming, exchangin ideas, planning and writing out quests, ... etc. I belive timezone differences will not hinder this work much, since chats and responses at any possible time of covenience for the team should work.

    2) Cloud storage

: as we work, there may be files that we need to keep or share. Uploading and downloading individual files on Discord will be very inconvenient, so I will setup a Google Drive folder where we can keep all the necessary files and share it with the team.

    3) In-game work

: individual in-game works, such as making the quests for the hqm mod responsible people, should be no problem and each can work at their convenient time and submit the works whever they can. As for when we need to work as a group in-game, I will provide a server for the team to come and work on.

The following is a list of things that I can provide:

    - make your written quests into actual quests using the HQM mod or the Better Questing mod

    - a private server for the team to work in if necessary

Should you be interested in the work, please submit an application through the link below and I will contact you.

Thank you very much for your time, and I eagerly await for your participation.

The Dependents function limits the search for only one mod at a time. Is it possible to search with two or more mods at a time?

I used a site called the modpackindex a while ago, but it stopped updating and got completely out of date.

Considering how Curse has now become the biggest and most convenient database of modpacks to my knowledge, I wish they would import such feature in the near future but I'm all ears for any other alternatives for the moment.
