posted a message on Java IO server error

Ok I keep finding this coming up but I either can't find things to fix it (Like allowing Java through the windows Firewall, it's not even listed)  or I made the fix (Reinstalling Minecraft, reinstalling Java, turning off my Eset firewall.)

The problem I'm having is that I am trying to join my friends server, They play using a Modpack through twitch called 'FTB Presents Direwolf20 1.12' The mod pack seems to work fine, I have tried playing single player and it starts fine. However, every time I try to connect to the server I get an error that says that

Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Full error code in the spoiler below

NetworkDispatcher exception java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host at sun.nio.ch.SocketDispatcher.read0(Native Method) at sun.nio.ch.SocketDispatcher.read(SocketDispatcher.java:43) at sun.nio.ch.IOUtil.readIntoNativeBuffer(IOUtil.java:223) at sun.nio.ch.IOUtil.read(IOUtil.java:192) at sun.nio.ch.SocketChannelImpl.read(SocketChannelImpl.java:380) at io.netty.buffer.PooledUnsafeDirectByteBuf.setBytes(PooledUnsafeDirectByteBuf.java:288) at io.netty.buffer.AbstractByteBuf.writeBytes(AbstractByteBuf.java:1100) at io.netty.channel.socket.nio.NioSocketChannel.doReadBytes(NioSocketChannel.java:372) at io.netty.channel.nio.AbstractNioByteChannel$NioByteUnsafe.read(AbstractNioByteChannel.java:123) at io.netty.channel.nio.NioEventLoop.processSelectedKey(NioEventLoop.java:624) at io.netty.channel.nio.NioEventLoop.processSelectedKeysOptimized(NioEventLoop.java:559) at io.netty.channel.nio.NioEventLoop.processSelectedKeys(NioEventLoop.java:476) at io.netty.channel.nio.NioEventLoop.run(NioEventLoop.java:438) at io.netty.util.concurrent.SingleThreadEventExecutor$5.run(SingleThreadEventExecutor.java:858) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:745)

Now I Have browsed Lots of different threads but As I said I either can't make the fixes suggested because the files aren't there, but also I've been making the Fixes I can get to.

We connect to the Direwolf modpack through twitch and there's no 1.12.1 version for me to try which has been one of the most common fix suggestions.  Another suggestion has been that the issue might be Internet speed but I have perfectly fine internet connection and speed.

I even tried to connect when no one else was On the server to see if it was someone elses connection that was causing the problem That made no difference.

I've found threads about the same problem on this forum but not many solutions, If there are any newer suggestions I'd love the help, I even got a whole new computer just to play with my friends (My old one was over 11 yeas old and couldn't run the modpack at all) I'm so close to getting there I just need to be able to get into the server :)

I appreciate any time you can offer.
