I had to install optifine

So i installed the MC Heli mod into Feed the Beast Infinity Evolved and the aircrafts are lagging behind in flight.
When i see youtube videos of the mod, all the aircrafts fly perfectly smooth, while mine are just lagging behind the player moving forward.
It appears as if their position only gets updated every tenth frame or so.
Why is that? I have searched the mod settings & config and found nothing useful...
Looks really awful in flight and pretty much ruins the whole mod. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Also, i use a 64x texture pack.
