Press [ESC] to bring up the menu and select "Open to LAN" and in the next menu "Allow Cheats : ON" and "Start LAN World". This hosts the game session as a server session on your local machine. For now most importantly though it allows you to enable cheats and have the right to use admin commands.
This server only persists as long as your game session last; exiting the game will close it. So you have to do it again if you want to use admin commands or cheats at another time.
Also, it changes the pause behavior of the game, since the server will be running independently. So beware, if you pause in the middle of a fight ;)
Thank you @Rubik842, @j777k777 and @s_d for your help. As far as I can see I can't chisel cobble into mossy cobble. I can chisel them separately, but there is no conversion I could see (tried it out). The survivalist fishing rod is an awesome option!
And I would have gone that route had I not found my derp by then. I was under the impression that I had to finish every single quest in a stage to be able to progress to the next one(s), not just the ones that actually gate that progress. My problem was that I didn't claim the new stages that I had already unlocked in the "questbook" page (iirc that's what it's called; away from gaming PC so can't double check atm). So I couldn't use Botania items although I had already made enough progress to be supposed to be able to.....
But once I figured that out I just went the Botania route.
But yeah, survialist fishing rod makes that one possible without any further _tech_
Hey everyone, I'm trying to finish the Mending Moss quest but I'm stuck getting the mossy cobble. My original plan was to get enough cocoa beans to grow a jungle tree to get vines to craft the mossy cobble, but that needs 9.5 hearts for the life infusion to work and I'm still at my starting 8 hearts (and would like to avoid coming up with the 100(?) food items I would need to eat to boost this). So the life infusion route is out. I'm playing in staged mode, so I can't use Botania yet to get the vines. I have tried getting the mossy cobble by just exposing it to water or "infusing" it like lavawood, because I'm kinda desperate since this is the last quest I need to finish this stage.
I'm probably missing something super obvious. Any help is appreciated!
