     Not sure where you received a "FTB Reloaded" file from following my instructions.

     You do need Java installed to run the .jar file in Step 3; Run the java file and install it locally (client).


    If you are referencing the mod downloads as the files you are unzipping, that is probably necessary depending on the mod you downloaded. If it is .zip, you will need to unzip/extract files to known location, then move those extracted files into your mods folder.

    Java Minecraft v1.14.4 - Windows 10


    Create mods folder

    1. Open File Explorer

    2. Navigate to %appdata%\.minecraft

    3. Right-click, hover New, select Folder

    4. Type "mods" without the quotes and hit enter

    5. Close window


    Installing Minecraft Forge

    1. Close minecraft or minecraft installer if open

    2. Download/save minecraft forge (select installer): http://files.minecraftforge.net/

    3. Run the java file and install it locally (client)

    4. Run minecraft launcher

    5. Select Installations

    6. Hover forge and select the three dots, select Edit

    7. Select More Options

    8. Look for "-Xmx2G -XX...." under JVM Arguments

    9. Modify "2G" to half of your computer's memory

    - If you have 8GB of memory, your line should appear as "-Xmx4G -XX...."

    10. Select Save

    11. Hover forge and select Play

    12. Start a Single Player game, Load into the game, then quit.

    13. Close minecraft


    Installing Minecraft mods

    1. Download minecraft mods from https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods (save files to a known location)

    2. Open File Explorer

    3. Navigate to: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods\mods

    4. Copy/Paste or Move your downloaded minecraft mod(s) to this location

    5. Open Minecraft Launcher

    6. Select Installations

    7. Hover forge and select Play
