install java, then set the launcher to use your java installation instead of the bundled one. also look for java logs in your .minecraft folder, they are named hs_err_pid[numbers].log
important: due to javas garbage collection, more RAM can actually decrease performance and even cause crashes. don't use more than you need. modded minecraft usually runs fine with 4GB, if that doesn't work use 6. but never go over 8 if possible.
[***] does not have a MCVersion annotation, it may cause issues with this version of Minecraft.
that's just a warnin. if a mod crashes minecraft due to it's version, you will find it's name all over the stacktrace, along with a NoClassDefFound Error.

^ not a public link.
as much as i like ubuntu, pastebin/hastebin or gist should be your first adress for logs (imo). anyways, this is not working.

might be caused by the nvidia drivers. did you update to v378? if yes, install the latest nvidia hotfix and try again.

you need to log in. this includes being online.

are you sure you assigned enough RAM to minecraft? minecraft normally only uses as much RAM as you allow. have a look at this tutorial.

this seems to be a rendering issue, so updating your graphic drivers is worth a try.

codechickenlib is involved there, too. try updating codechickenlib and -core (preferrably from chickenbones.net).
when does this crash happen? if it's in your inventory, update NEI, too.

found it, seems to be unfixed. best you can do is reinstall the questbook or remove simple achievements.

potentially caused by nvidia drivers 378.49. use this hotfix: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4378
