You can try but if you notice it doesn't launch or a mod doesn't work properly, you'll wanna delete that mod.
You can try to manually install this mod: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/disable-portals/files
It doesn't disable the dimension as a whole, but it disables the end portal.
Some mods won't work on versions higher than it but you can attempt to manually install it to the mods folder if you know how to do that.
Check your mods folder and see if you have an extra CofHCore jar file. If you do not, please reply with your FULL crash report.
