posted a message on Samsung Washing Machine Model WF45T6000AW: No Water

Machine starts, door locks starts humming like it always has and no water fills. If left it goes into the wash cycle with the drum spinning etc, but no water.
    Things I have tried:

Supply lines are working, not kinked, pressure is good
    Intake valves replaced.
No water appears to come through the intake valves because when cycle starts samsung wf45t6000aw problems, no water comes out the hose from intake valve.
Hoses from intake valve to drum not clogged.
    Neither Hot nor Cold work.

Also, does anyone know if this model has a diagnostic mode?

    Thanks in advance

posted a message on Might want to become an electrician....Advice needed!

A bit of background. I am 22 years old. I have completed an accounting diploma in college and have done two co-ops in that field. I wouldn't say I was passionate about it but I also didn't dislike it. I originally chose Accounting in high school because I didn't know what else I wanted to do and doing some research I found the job security and earnings potential could be pretty good. Well I have just transferd to University to get an actual business degree to be able to get a decent job when I'm all done. I am hating it with a passion. I hate doing these Calculus classes and all of this work in university is making me realize I may not want to be stuck in an office in the future.

More background: I am a farm kid. My dad still farms and I enjoy the busy seasons because I get to help him. I have always decided I will farm but my dad always wanted me to have a regular 9-5 job in addition just for stability and that our farming operation is not a huge one. Over the last year or so, I have become increasingly more interested in doing jobs involving my hands. (Replacing parts on my car, figuring out wiring systems on my truck, helping with the farm equipment, and just doing other manual labour jobs in general). I am at the point now where I have way more respect for labour type jobs and feel it is much more rewarding when I complete a manual labour job, than a file or a project when I had my co-ops.

Bottom line: I feel like I am just done with accounting and want something different that is more hands-on. I have been reading up on becoming an electrician and as you only need a grade 12 to get an apprenticeship I would like to get some more info on the field.

*It should be noted that in high school I did the manufacturing machine shops and woodworking and computer engineering(almost straight electronics) and did very well... I am not sure why I even steered away from those fields at all actually.

Sorry for the long post but can anyone give me some advice on what I should do or anywhere I can go to find out what exactly I should be doing for a career? or if becoming an electrician is advisable?

posted a message on Air Conditioner Installation Question

    Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of installing a new air conditioner in my home, and I have a few questions regarding the installation process. I've done some research online, but I wanted to get some input from this community as well.

Firstly, I'm curious about the placement of the air conditioner unit itself. I've heard conflicting advice about whether it's better to install it in a shaded area or direct sunlight. What are your thoughts on this? Is there a specific location that's generally recommended for optimal performance and energy efficiency?

Secondly, I'm a bit unsure about the size of the unit. I've measured the square footage of the room where the air conditioner will be installed, but I'm not sure how to determine the appropriate size of the unit based on that information. Are there any guidelines or rules of thumb that I should follow when selecting the size of the air conditioner Saroni David France?

Lastly, I'm also considering whether to install a window unit or a split system. Are there any significant differences between the two in terms of installation difficulty, maintenance requirements, or overall performance?

I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights that you can provide on these questions. Additionally, if you have any other tips or recommendations for a successful air conditioner installation, please feel free to share them.

Thank you in advance for your help!

posted a message on Discussion on War Veteran Grant Question

    Hello everyone.

I'm reaching out to discuss a topic that has been on my mind recently, and I believe it's important for us to share our thoughts and insights. The subject at hand is the "war veteran grant question."

As we're all aware, veterans who have served their countries often face unique challenges upon returning to civilian life. Among these challenges, accessing financial assistance and grants specifically tailored to their needs is crucial. However, there seems to be some confusion or lack of clarity surrounding the availability and eligibility criteria for such grants.

I'm curious to hear from those who have either directly interacted with veteran grant programs or have insights into how these programs operate. Some questions that come to mind include:

    1. What are the common types of grants available for war veterans, and what purposes do they typically serve?
    2. Are there specific eligibility requirements veterans need to meet to qualify for these grants?
    3. How accessible are these grants in reality, and are there any common hurdles veterans face when applying for them?
    4. Are there any lesser-known grant opportunities or resources that veterans might not be aware of?

Additionally, if anyone has personal experiences or anecdotes related to this topic, I believe they would greatly enrich our discussion and provide valuable perspectives.

By sharing our knowledge and experiences, we can contribute to a better understanding of the support systems available to our veterans and potentially help those in need navigate the process more effectively.

Thank you in advance for your contributions to this conversation.

posted a message on Seeking Advice on Name Necklaces

    Hello everyone.

I've been considering getting one for myself or as a gift for a friend, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with the options out there.

Firstly, I'd love to hear about your experiences with name necklaces. Have you purchased one before? If so, where did you get it from, and were you satisfied with the quality? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any online stores that you'd recommend.

Additionally, I'm curious about the different materials available for name necklaces. I've seen options ranging from sterling silver to gold-plated to stainless steel. What are your thoughts on the durability and overall appearance of these materials? I want to make sure that whatever I choose will last a long time and still look great.

Another aspect I'm considering is customization. Some websites offer the option to choose not only the name but also the font and even additional charms or birthstones. Have any of you tried this level of customization? Is it worth it, or do you prefer to keep it simple with just the name?

Lastly, I'd appreciate any tips or recommendations you have for caring for name necklaces. How do you keep yours looking shiny and new?

Thank you in advance for your help and insights.

posted a message on Temperament of German shepherd Siberian husky mix?

I recently looked at a young female dog on https://shepskymix.com/great-pyrenees-german-shepherd-husky-mix/. I was wondering what I should expect of an 80% German shepherd and 20% Siberian husky. Since the two breeds have different temperaments, what should I expect, and will she be easy to train?

posted a message on Got any great kid-friendly insulting names?

Basically, I'm looking for more names that kids might call each other. They can't be littered with expletives, because these characters wouldn't realistically say things like that. But they don't even need to be that clever, since kids aren't always the most creative with their names. I guess my siblings and I weren't very creative either, since I don't remember any funny names from back then.

All I can find on Google is how 'Dr Sears says name-calling is so bad' and 'how your kid needs an overly expensive therapist if they engage in name-calling' and other bs like that. I need good dirty insult names, not therapy! Aside from that, I'm also finding a lot of context-specific insults. Like, 'you smell like hot dog water' or 'you'd be the gray sprinkle on a cupcake.' I'm just looking for names, not sick burns that require entire sentences or conversations.

    Some examples: stupid, idiot, jerk-face, fat-head, bucket-head, butt-face, etc.

posted a message on Seeking Advice on Kitchen Remodeling: What are Your Thoughts?

    Hey everyone,

I'm in the midst of planning a kitchen remodel, and I could really use some advice from those who have been through it or have expertise in this area. I want to ensure that I make informed decisions throughout the process.

Here are some specific questions I have:

    1. Layout: How did you determine the best layout for your kitchen? What factors did you consider, and do you have any tips for maximizing space efficiency?

    2. Cabinetry: What type of cabinets did you choose, and why? I'm torn between traditional wood, modern laminate, and sleek metal options. What are the pros and cons of each?

    3. Countertops: There are so many options out there – granite, quartz, marble, butcher block, etc. What did you choose, and are you happy with your decision? Durability and maintenance are key factors for me.

    4. Appliances: Did you opt for high-end appliances, or did you find more budget-friendly options that still provided good quality? I'm curious about any brands or models you recommend.

    5. Lighting: Lighting can really make or break a kitchen's ambiance. What types of lighting fixtures did you incorporate, and how did you balance functionality with aesthetics?

    6. Flooring: I'm exploring various flooring materials like hardwood, tile, and vinyl. What did you choose for your kitchen, and what considerations should I keep in mind when selecting flooring?

    7. Budgeting: How did you budget for your kitchen remodel, and were there any unexpected costs you encountered along the way? Any tips for staying within budget without compromising on quality?

    8. Hiring Professionals: Did you hire a contractor or do it yourself? What was your experience like, and do you have any recommendations for finding reliable professionals?

I'd appreciate any insights, tips, or personal experiences you can share. Feel free to chime in even if you've only tackled one aspect of kitchen remodeling richmond – every bit of advice helps!

Thanks in advance for your input!
