I'm fairly sure you can chisel stone bricks into mossy stone bricks and use those.

I'm playing kitchen sink mode because I find some particular mods intolerable. But this progression chart would be handy, so I can at least approximately follow the intended progression. For example, the project E transmutation tablet is really cheap and a good early storage solution. But dumping charcoal into it from trees allows you to sidestep bulk ore processing once you've made one ingot of each - this might or might not be intended.

Is anyone else getting corrupted graphics on menus and inventory bar? I only seem to get it with this pack. Sometimes it also corrupts all of the text on the screen instead. Each (slow) restart it looks a bit different and about 1 time in four it looks fine. i7 processor, 16G ram (6 assigned to the pack) geforce 970m gpu. This screenshot has both the text and the buttons/windows problem.

Then link it dear henry :)   The comment was for the players asking about tutorials.

Love the concept and style of your pack, will play again it once I'm done with SF2. Or probably sooner.

There's a purplementat twitch stream recording which is likely to be good, since he does so many skyblock lets plays.

Interested to hear about your team style map Tedy. Saw it mentioned on PM's twitter.

I have heard that carpenters blocks with glowstone added sometimes fail to count as light. This might be why mobs are appearing.

    Some starting tips:

After you have made your ex nihilo barrel make 4 fenceposts and a vanilla fishing rod. Punch out a corner, place the fenceports on a diagonal to make a fishing hole.  Fishing is for more than fish. (you may want to debuff the vanilla fishing Tedy, it's FAST!)

No you cant swim to the surface before drowning.  Make a snorkel before going outside.  No you still cant swim to the surface before drowning.

Soil stays hydrated within 4 blocks of water. Think about it.

I restarted after the install and it ran.

bottles! I fished one and put it in a chest. <facepalm>

Had a read of your tweitter feed; new map? I like this one. Unless there is more dripping water in tunnels, that *really* adds to the feel. There is enough space to do stuff, while still feeling slightly claustrophobic.

Mob spawning ; still none, I built a 1x7 punch-them-in-the-shins slab dark room against the outside of the white ceramic lab wall furtherest from the terrarium dome. Then hung out in the furtherest part of the terrarium and got nothing. Maybe those squid are counting for the mob cap.

Will update, change nothing else and let you know if I get mobs.

It says version 0.0.2, still got lots of squid in the water around me and no mobs in my box.

If I hit a mature wheat with a ex nihilo stone hammer it crashes.

Mob spawning works in the nether. I love what you've done with the place...

Sapling drops are enough, but low. I found a better dirt supply method which is a lot easier. With a vanilla fishing rod I can keep one barrel almost continuously composting fish.

Clay seems to be gated behind iron - I like this, knocked me out of ex nihilo autopilot.

Been playing about 10 minutes - it took me three trees before I got more than one sapling. It doesnt matter from a starting point of view because if you get no saplings out of the first few you just restart with not much lost.

However, limited sapling drops plus only one place you grow a tree may make the beginning very grindy and bonemeal intensive because you can only grow one at a time. Hmm, perhaps I can fit 4 trees in there....

Edit: sort of... its very tight, they tend to grow small.

Took a long time to get a silk worm. Wheat grows slowly.

To get more bones I've built a small dark room as far as I can get from the farming area, nothing spawned yet. Did you put a magnum torch in?

Not sure how hard you want this to be, it's going to be tricky to get to cobble without starving with the space available.

I think the sapling drops and the wheat growth may need to be buffed to speed things up.

Once I get some spare dirt I'll put a row of three dirt around the edges of the middle level and farm wheat for more dirt.

Edit again: it must be the light, I'm sure its not the intent of the pack, but people will probably build up to the surface to get things to grow better.  Then it's just another skyblock but you don't die when you fall.

Very interested to see where you go with this pack, its a cool map but you will need to corral and direct players a bit I think to preserve the difference.
